I Second That

Quote of the Day

It is extremely rare that I use foul language and I don’t like to encourage others to use it either. In this case, however, I fully endorse what the FPC has to say about this wanna be dictator announcing she will infringe upon our specific enumerated rights.

Don’t ever let anyone get away with telling you no one wants to take your guns.

  1. Who gives a crap about imported guns? We make the best ones right here.
And I’m with Ritchie & friends. 2 million? She must have got her communist talking points crossed up. And was thinking of the number of criminal aliens she supposed to say is all they allowed across the border?
Boy is she in for a big surprise.

    • I think Glocks are made here now.

Springfield Armory & Taurus are the main ones I can think of that are imported.

  2. I’m curious as to how the demise of Chevron will impact Executive Orders going forward.
After all, Executive Orders only apply to members of the Executive Branch and it’s agencies, who have just lost their ability to create de facto laws out of thin air post-Chevron.

    • They’re Democrats.
Mirabile Dictu, Agencies will magically become Executive Branch entities and the Democrat god will be right in his/her./its heaven again.

If history is any guide, not one bit. “Chevron deference” was a precedent that allowed agency personnel to be their own “subject matter experts” (SMEs), for the purposes of defending an agency action in court.

A President who issues an Executive Order isn’t claiming to be a SME; he/she/it is merely directing the agencies under his/her/its purview (which is to say, all of them) and what actions he/she/it wants to see taken. The death of Chevron deference won’t come into play until the agencies have to defend those actions in court, and are no longer presumed to be SMEs qualified to tell the courts what does what.

So as far as the actual EO: no effect whatsoever. The President can still order whatever he/she/it wants.
