Okay, I just want to add that the shooter was a 20-year-old kitchen worker from nearby Bethel Park in Pennsylvania. According to a CNN report, a senior law enforcement official said that he bought 50 rounds from a local gun store hours before the rally.

Shouldn’t that have been reported? Somebody buys…a 20-year-old white guy? I mean we’ve seen that many times now. Young white men with guns and nobody reported that he bought 50 rounds of ammunition?

I wonder what she would think if she knew it is nothing special when this white guy buys buys 5,000 rounds of ammunition and/or assembles 2,000 rounds.

    • It’s like buying one Snickers bar. After all, 50 rounds is a common size for a single box; it would be difficult for anyone to buy less even supposing he’d want to. Just like it’s hard to buy half a Snickers bar.

      • My thoughts exactly.

        Rifle calibers can often be found in boxes of 20, but for pistol calibers (and .22), the minimum package is usually 50. And even for 20-round boxes, buying 2 or 3 is hardly a rare occurrence.

        What makes these people think that 50 rounds is a large purchase worthy of alerting law enforcement? (Besides the obvious: that they have no clue what the hell they’re bloviating about.)

        • The 50 packs of 5.56 are typically generic practice ammo. Just what you want for a high value victim. And don’t bother testing it in your rifle either. That is for geeks.

  2. It’s like when the media reports that an arrested person has an arsenal which consists of a 22 rifle, two revolvers, 200 rounds and assorted kitchen knives. British media is especially comical this way.

  3. Come on, guys. It’s Joyless Behar. It/she would find fault in a bouquet of roses if it wasn’t part of the communist narrative.
    The only reason it/she’s on TV is because not even the most shameless of ridicule can penetrate the outer scale layer. Let alone break through to the automatonic communist lizard brain. And corresponding self-centered feed-back loop Yuri so famously warned us about in this type.
    These people are as predictable as moon phases.

  7. Always remember that anti-gun forces equate number of rounds with number of deaths. They hear “50 rounds” and they automatically assume 50 people will die as a result. They have no concept of things like recreational target shooting or the idea grabbing a box of 50 rounds is a casual thing as a gun owner.

    As in “Oh, I forget some ammo on the way to the range, let me grab a box or two on the way to make sure I don’t run out”. They can’t understand the act is innocent. To them, ammunition blows the lungs out of bodies and renders children unrecognizable. It is boxed death to them and every round is a tragedy just waiting to happen.
