Why Do People Support Socialism?

While not entirely true, there is a lot of truth in this.

  1. As the old Soviet joke went: “Capitalism is the exploitation of man by man and socialism is the other way around.”

It is just that the identity of the parties changes. Marx got one thing right. It is all about power and if you control the means of production, you have the power. Conservatives err by pretending that is about efficiency.

    • That’s a funny commie quote!
Kind of like. “They pretend to pay us, so we pretend to work”.
“Conservatives err by pretending that is about efficiency.”
Like building and owning HUD houses?

  2. Why do so many people support it?
Well, you get what you pay for, that’s why. And we’ve been buying huge quantities of socialism for the last 70 years.
So much so that it is litter-ally laying all over the streets. Living in tents. And just waiting for it’s next hit.
People support it cause we pay them to. And just as Rome in Ciscero’s day. “People are just going to have to learn to work again”.
(I’m pretty sure we will get the same results Rome did.)

    • There are a lot of people who get government checks. Some have to work hard at not working in the manner the government approves, and others have to work hard making sure the burdens they place on the producers are properly paid for.
