I drove to Olympia today to participate in the rally against law created with I-594. We had a decent turn out. I didn’t stay for the entire thing but it seemed to go very well from what I could tell. People were participating with the speakers and the Washington State Patrol officers present looked bored:
I’m putting the rest of the pictures “below the fold” so that it doesn’t create long load times for the main page for the next week.
I’ll mostly let the pictures speak for themselves:
I was pleased to see the bigotry meme present.
I wish I had gotten a picture of the other side of this banner. I really want to know what it says. Did anyone else get a picture of it?
Although the crowd was mostly white there were some people with darker skin.
There is another line which got cropped in this picture. It says, “HAVE SPOKEN…”.
I’d like to add that a case can be made that it is happening here.
You can tell it’s a pro-gun rally by the hand-made signs. Anti-gun rallies have their signs professionally printed in advance and then distributed to “Supporters” with their compensatory payments.
There is no way to understand the mentality of people who want to disarm decent citizens while criminals keep all their guns. It’s a sickness that defies description or comprehension.
Interesting, a rainbow Gadsden flag.
I wondered about that too but it wasn’t until after I left. I now wonder if there was a LGBT twist.
It was an LGBT. They actually had a table up with the rest of the groups along with an other flag.
btw Joe you look dashing in that hat.
Thank you. I’ll take “dashing”. 🙂
BTW, in Today’s Boston Globe there is a picture of a protester getting arrested after he knocked a bike cop off his mount at a protest for the recent killings of criminals by police.
When pro-liberty people protest the cops are bored, when “Progressives” protest violence always happens.
Funny, they seem to paint a different picture of us. Is there a wonder we want guns? You think a dude who would assault a police officer who is essentially protecting HIM from danger would do any different to a total stranger?
Or how about the massive intersection between those that wax romantic about voilent protests and riots and those that want to disarm the proles.
Very good observation. “Anti-violence” protesters are violent – yet “Violent Gun Nuts” are peaceful.
Makes you wonder what other crazy alternate realities are bouncing around in their heads.
what is the difference between a $10,000,000 rally and an all volunteer rally?
