I think that it’s good to have and keep around both common AND somewhat unusual caliber firearms. If you look “second hand,” I’m sure there is a lot of 9mm and .45 ACP around to borrow from a friend in an emergency. Of course, what it REALLY means is that you should always stock up on what you use ahead of time, when it’s plentiful and no-one is concerned about it, as well as bulk reloading supplies.
I haven’t been able to find much of anything lately, however .32 S&W was readily available, so I picked up a few hundred rounds for the airweight.
I am still kicking myself for only buying 500 rounds of PMC .223 earlier in 2012 when it was $5 / 20 with free shipping.
