I heard about Ceausescu in much greater detail from a guy I used to work with – his wife grew up in that regime.

I too have heard more details and knew the end to the story. But never in the actual words of a person that was there. And not in the context of giving advice to hold on to your guns–you can defeat planes and tanks.

The key in that un-do of a communist regime was the troops who didn’t follow Ceausescu’s orders.
We have something like that going now right here in the US of A.
