Forcible felonies are almost never one-and-done actions committed on the spur of the moment. Anybody you shoot has likely done this before and will, unless incapacitated, do this to others. Violence will be escalated, and the predatory conduct won’t cease until somebody stops them decisively.

    Like Burt Lancaster in the movie “Lawman”, (one of the best westerns ever made), said; You got a bad memory, son. Your friend didn’t have to come into town that day. Didn’t have to push it to a shooting.
    The kid; You never gave him a chance.
    Lancaster; When you do that, you give up all your chances.
    Or in ghetto parlance; Don’t start nothing, won’t be nothing.
    Motives are for campfire discussions.
    But the most serious thing to remember is this. Whatever happens. Happens really fast. Never get caught flat-footed.

      Exactly. We focus on them by nature, because it’s how we attempt to predict behavior, and plan in advance. Motives are a big part of “prediction” and “control”. You should try to understand your opponents motives, make predictions, and then make *PLANS*. … however

      “No plan survives contact with the enemy”
      “By their works (fruit) you will know them”
      In combat, motives are irrelevant.

      *After* combat, when you’re sittin’ around the campfire wondering if there was some way you could have avoided it….. then maybe it matters.

        As it’s not like we haven’t already heard all their answers, right?
        Like Matt Bracken talks about. Got a face full of tattoos and your hood up? Your a target.
        Don’t care, don’t want to know.

  3. The leftist gun grabbers are fully aware of this reality. And the do NOT want anyone to be capable of effective resistance to their agendas. Those who seek to rule and seek to pillage ALWAYS want their intended victims disarmed and helpless.
