Quote of the day—Igor Volsky

The significant increase in gun violence over the last couple of years is simply too hard to ignore and, I do believe the President when he says and when he said that this issue is a priority for him,

‘We’re not asking for magical things’: Anti-gun violence groups launch campaign to pressure Biden four years after Parkland
[Completely ignoring that over 92% of violent crime in the US does not involve a gun. Completely ignoring the “defund the police” component to the increase in violent crime. Completely ignoring the lack of prosecution of violent criminals which are caught. Completely ignoring the early release of violent criminals from prison using the excuse they were in danger of catching COVID-19 while in prison. Completely ignoring gun ownership is a specific enumerated right.

It is not about crime. It is about taking Guns away from ordinary people.

Just as interesting is that there is such a new anti-gun organization. This organization was founded in late 2016. Apparently the half dozen or so other organizations, many of which have been around for decades, weren’t effective enough for Volsky.

What he doesn’t seem to understand is that his message of “building a future with fewer guns” has already been tried by many of the existing organizations. And if they ever get any traction with the politicians gun sales skyrocket. It is an “adaptive response” as explained by Chet just the other day.

And don’t let anyone get away with telling you, “No one wants to take your guns.”—Joe]

  1. The only reason to start a new anti-gun organization is he wants to lap at the trough of money that Soros, Bloomberg and their ilk pour out every year. Shannon, Gifford and the other anti-gun harpies probably elbowed him away from their profits, so he had to start one of his own. Nothing about guns here – it’s grass-roots greed.

    • Hmm. Well in that case maybe we should start our own “anti-gun” organization. See if we can get funding from all the usual corrupt sources and then argue “against” gun ownership in such as way as to promote it!

But that’s what the left has been doing for decades already…so…

Serious question then; Let’s say in the last twenty eight years or so since ‘94, who has convinced more people to get into gun ownership and to learn to shoot? Was it the anti-constitution, anti-American left, or the NRA? I don’t know the answer, but if I had to guess then I’d give the vast majority of credit to the left.

And if that’s the case, then of course the next questions is, Do they on the left (the leaders, the true string-pullers) perhaps actually know what they are doing? My thesis of late is that they do know what they’re doing, and know it very well. They’ve certainly been doing it long enough and have had ample data and ample time to learn from the ample data. So this gets interesting, doesn’t it?

As a line of inquiry or a thought experiment, if you take just that singular assumption (that the left knows, and has known, quite perfectly well what it’s doing) then the popular and standard paradigm of left verses right, one political party hating the other and therefore working tirelessly and earnestly to affect its demise, etc., etc., and all that rot, that paradigm vanishes immediately and it looks like we’re faced with something else entirely. No?

Consider that the right knows exactly what it’s doing also. And I don’t mean the rank and file at any time, nor the popular mouthpieces, but the actual planners, influencers and leaders.

  2. “We’re not asking for magical things.” HAHAHAHAHAHA!
    That’s funny!
Asking the Vax king Biden to give shit about humans killing or dying?
Asking the government to take away guns?
Asking you and me to give them up?
And in this day and age of Russia, Russia, the Russians are coming!!!! Hysteria.
Were supposed to give them up because someone named Igor, (of all fuckin names) asked us to?
What ain’t fucking magical about all that?
The magic will be if someone is actually stupid enough to give him the time of day.
