I wonder if he means “Bring it on” and “Tell me where you are going to start” are death threats. I think the harshest thing I read in that dumpster dive of a twitter thread was “If your in it, I’ll supply the matches” or some such.
In other words, the left always cries victim when they say something and the response is “Try it and find out what happens.”
For some reason they feel that their actions should be free of any negative consequences.
As Tamara Keel said, words from conservatives are considered actions (not protected by the First Amendment), and actions by Leftists are considered words (protected by the First Amendment as symbolic speech).
All your words are violence. All their violence is speech.

For a tenured Professor of Creative Writing, he is certainly not very creative in his use of language, nor of thinking though the obvious logical implications of his words. Speaks rather poorly of the quality of instruction a person might receive at his places of work, where language use and understanding is rather important….

Yes, I am not one for bullying, however I grew up in a time that you didn’t let your mouth write checks that your ass couldn’t cash. I really think that the lessons you learned back in those days were much more conducive to civility.
Indeed. I think that incivility without consequence will not teach civility. As Robert Heinlein wrote in one of his novels, “An armed society is a police society”, and boys grew up armed with their fists.
