Arizona State Senator Janae Shamp (R-Surprise) introduced a bill this month ahead of the 2026 legislative session that would instruct the director of the Department of Health Services to “conduct or support research to advance the understanding of Trump Derangement Syndrome [TDS], including its origins, manifestations and long-term effects on individuals, communities and public discourse.”
Senate Bill (SB) 1070 — a bill number historically associated with Arizona’s landmark 2010 immigration law— lays out the reasons why Shamp believes the research is necessary to investigate those who dislike President Donald Trump, and “declares TDS a public health crisis that affects 10 mental health, social cohesion and political stability in this state.”
Named the “Trump Derangement Syndrome Study Act,” the bill will “Requir[e] the department to collaborate with mental health 16 professionals and other stakeholders to develop interventions for mitigating TDS-related division.”

Hmmm… I wonder if this is more of a joke than a serious effort to study the problem. There does not appear to be any funding for the study, so I suspect it is just something to get a laugh out of Trump supports and a blood pressure rise out of those suffering from TDS.

And the idea that a significant portion of those who enter the country are sex traffickers is pretty obviously false. The vast majority are construction workers, cooks, meat packers, orchard workers, etc. Again, ask an AI to summarize the data for you. Gemini, for example, pulls out this from the BJS report:

You might consider showing the evidence that Trump visited the island or even remained friends after the public knew the island was used for unethical purposes.
The question I have which causes me to be inclined to believe Trump was not unethically involved with Epstein’s victims is that those files were in the hands of the Biden/Harris administration during the 2024 election. If the files held evidence Trump was actually involved in any crimes, I believe they would have used it against him during the election.
Regardless of any Trump involvement, anyone and everyone who was criminally involved should be prosecuted. But, at this point the chain of evidence may be hopelessly tainted.
Except doing so was probably mutually assured destruction (not that it ended up mattering for Harris). The most likely reason for dems not releasing the files before now was that a bunch of them are in them.
As for Trump being unethically involved, have you looked at any of the pictures released thus far? Trump has 13 and 14 year old girls all over him, including when he’s dressed in nothing but a towel. How many other 50 year old men do you know who have pictures of them with 13 year olds while wearing a towel who are innocent?
And then there’s the more obvious answer: if releasing the files would show Trump was innocent, they would have released them ages ago. That they didn’t, and have tasked the FBI with trying to clean Trump’s name from them, tells me he’s involved in all sorts of illegal acts, and they know it, and are desperately trying to sanitize as much as possible.

I have not looked at any of the files or followed much more than the headlines. I have more important things to do that directly affect my life. The amount of influence I have regarding criminal politicians who already have millions of eyes on them is zero.
