Democrats Accept Reality and Choose to Pretend it Does Not Exist

Quote of the Day

In her recently released book about her presidential candidacy, former Vice President Kamala Harris admits that she, too, shares concerns: “I agree with the concerns expressed by parents and players that we have to take into account biological factors such as muscle mass and unfair student athletic advantage when we determine who plays on which teams, especially in contact sports.”

But she added, “There was no way I was going to go against my very nature and turn on transgender people.”

And there it is. Tension unmasked. When reality collides with allegiance, the Democrats choose allegiance.

High-ranking Democrats admit to knowingly abandoning women

Determining what is real is tough. Accepting reality can be almost as tough. Ignoring reality after you have determined what is real and accepting that it is real is insane and/or evil. In this case I am going with “and”.

  1. This is how tens of millions were murdered through forced starvation during Holodomor and forced farm collectivization throughout China. Willfully ignore reality in pursuit of a pretty, or not so pretty dream. If we’re in power and don’t like the realities of farming we can ignore them and force changes that won’t work so that masses of peons starve to death. Funny how Socialism always ends this way when there is no corrective mechanism to dislodge them

    • “Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn’t go away.” — Philip K. Dick
“For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled.” — Richard P. Feynman

      • What was it Adam always said to Jamie on Mythbusters?
“I reject your reality and substitute it with my own”?
This is what the Democrat Leftists are doing.
Especially Kamala Harris who always sounds thoroughly baked.

As I pass through my incarnations in every age and race,
I make my proper prostrations to the Gods of the Market Place.
Peering through reverent fingers I watch them flourish and fall,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings, I notice, outlast them all.
      2
We were living in trees when they met us. They showed us each in turn
That Water would certainly wet us, as Fire would certainly burn:
But we found them lacking in Uplift, Vision and Breadth of Mind,
So we left them to teach the Gorillas while we followed the March of Mankind.
      3
We moved as the Spirit listed. They never altered their pace,
Being neither cloud nor wind-borne like the Gods of the Market Place,
But they always caught up with our progress, and presently word would come
That a tribe had been wiped off its icefield, or the lights had gone out in Rome.
      4
With the Hopes that our World is built on they were utterly out of touch,
      They denied that the Moon was Stilton; they denied she was even Dutch;
      They denied that Wishes were Horses; they denied that a Pig had Wings;
So we worshipped the Gods of the Market Who promised these beautiful things.
      5
When the Cambrian measures were forming, They promised perpetual peace.
They swore, if we gave them our weapons, that the wars of the tribes would cease.
But when we disarmed They sold us and delivered us bound to our foe,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: “Stick to the Devil you know.”
      6
On the first Feminian Sandstones we were promised the Fuller Life
(Which started by loving our neighbour and ended by loving his wife)
Till our women had no more children and the men lost reason and faith,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: “The Wages of Sin is Death.”
      7
In the Carboniferous Epoch we were promised abundance for all,
      By robbing selected Peter to pay for collective Paul;
But, though we had plenty of money, there was nothing our money could buy,
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings said: “If you don’t work you die.”
      8
Then the Gods of the Market tumbled, and their smooth-tongued wizards withdrew,
And the hearts of the meanest were humbled and began to believe it was true
That All is not Gold that Glitters, and Two and Two make Four–
And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more.
      9
As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
      And the burnt Fool’s bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;
      10
And that after this is accomplished, and the brave new world begins
When all men are paid for existing and no man must pay for his sins,
As surely as Water will wet us, as surely as Fire will burn,
The Gods of the Copybook Headings with terror and slaughter return!

We also see in full color display their dystopia is what they consider to be their human nature.
Freud would have a field say with this one.
The idea that YOU are the center of the universe is not new. But this one is novel.
And how many people voted for her? We were that close to the abyss.
Not that were that far back from the edge today. But it’s easy to see there is no discernable bottom we can survive once we go over.
And a stark reminder that we must change, as you aren’t going to change that level of stupidity. And there is no way to live with it.
    The empire has been destroyed.
    Plan accordingly. Or not.
The consequences to us, are as real and deep as her ignorance.
    Scary.

  3. I can take my pekingese dog to a plastic surgeon and have the ears remodeled, the whiskers rearranged, and feed it only cat food. All that won’t make it Meow and Purr, climb the back fence and yowl at night, or climb trees for no apparent reason.
If I were to do those things, one of us (most likely me) would be a prime candidate for psychological treatments. This same treatment should be the first treatment when a man wants to cut off Mr. Happy or a woman wants a double mastectomy because he or she thinks he or she is really a she or a he. It should not be done on a same-day-outpatient basis by a Doctor who is some bizarre, monstrous, Dr. Moreau.

    • Right. If I brought my lab to the vet, insisted he was actually a bitch and insisted that he be treated as such the vet would consider me crazy.

Depending how I behaved, they might call the authorities and insist the dog be taken from my care.

This is the modern democratic party

  4. What, exactly, is it about Reality that makes it anathema to so many?

I understand “wanting to engage in one’s own fantasy” but Reality is rejected so thoroughly – and, seemingly, so often – that there must be Something So Very Special about it for it to gain that level of disrespect.

    • Well, there is an ideology that says reality is just an opinion, and/or is a white heterosexual cisgender construct.
To that I like to respond: if so, climb a nearby highrise building and step off the roof — we’ll see if gravity is just a matter of opinion.
