Terminator Says, “Make yourself human again.”

Quote of the Day

That’s how most of the real world outside of the internet is. If you find yourself falling for the anger, go out in the real world and make yourself human again.

Arnold Schwarzenegger shares honest view on why Charlie Kirk was killed

There are extremely few situations where you should make important decisions when you are in a highly emotional state.

I find it very telling that successful politicians are extremely skilled and practiced at creating highly emotional states. It is what political rallies are all about. And you can see them demonstrate this skill in all their speeches.

For me I find all political speech to be irritating. Show me a politician’s policy details. This is how to determine their worth or lack thereof.

Sorry, when I go outside and actually see what they have done, and in the process of doing? I see people that look like they have been poisoned. Both mind and body.
    Then I get really pissed.
Best for me is to just head out in the hills and sit and listen to nature. And let the heavenly father speak through his spirit.
And come back ready for battle.

  2. This total lack of content in political speeches by candidates is also present in the proposals made in corporations to the top brass who would make the decisions. They are as susceptible to excitement and the bandwagon effect as voters. This was satirized in, I think it was “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”, when Robert Morse, playing the amoral office politician, gave a speech to a group of officers and directors in which he has a visual aid (A chart showing a steady downward decline), and makes a rousing pep talk about his plan that will stop this decline if they all support it. To enthusiastic applause, he takes the large graph and rotates it in the easel so the line goes up instead of down, which is easy since that graph has no marks on its X-axis or its Y-axis.
At least I think it was that movie.

    • I have attended many, many company-wide meetings from Microsoft to my current employer. I see them as I did the pep rallies in high school–an opportunity to study human sociology and psychology. I think I understand it reasonablely well now. I can see how it might have evolved. But the bottom line is that I am sad that our species is so mentally messed up.

      • It’s a fallen world, and we are a fallen people. There is a reason that so many smart people eventually turn the the Bible. If the God of the Bible doesn’t exist, then there isn’t any problem with simply eliminating all the problem people, right? It’s just a logistics issue.
