A Magnet for Criminals

Quote of the Day

Gun control doesn’t stop bad guys. It’s a magnet for criminals.

I really admire the ability to succinctly express powerful ideas.

  1. Isaiah’s prophesy of true peace is about the literal millenial reign of the Messiah in Jerusalem on David’s throne after the 2nd coming; where “every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord”. Whether you believe it or not, however and whenever it happens, there will be no ambiguity; everyone will get their theology corrected. So untill then stay armed to the teeth because we live in a fallen and corrupt world where meeting violence with greater violence is often the only solution.

  2. Just about Jesus’ last command to his apostles before his arrest.
    Luke 22:36 – He said to them, “But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one.”

    • Absolutely spot on. Thank you.
      That’s Jesus telling us, It’s is better to be cold and hungry than un-armed.
      Also, The first part was him telling them how he had protected them.
      But now your going to have to defend yourself.
      As the meme said. “In God We Trust.” (The guns are just back-up.)

  3. “They shall beat their swords into ploughshares and their spears into pruning hooks» (Is 2:4).”

    Matthew 10:34, Where Jesus said.
    “I did not come to bring peace, but a sword,”

    In the parable of wheat and weeds, Jesus told us also;
    “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.
    When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared.
    “The owner’s servants came to him and said, ‘Sir, didn’t you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?’
    “‘An enemy did this,’ he replied.
    “The servants asked him, ‘Do you want us to go and pull them up?’
    “‘No,’ he answered, ‘because while you are pulling the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them.
    Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.’”

    Some people are just weeds. And It’s always going to be a constant battle for root-space down here. No way around it.
    And that’s why Ben Franklin said;
    “Those that beat their swords into plow shears, will end up plowing for those who didn’t.”
    I’m thinking the pope needs to do a little more reading?
    Stay out of crowds, and never be unarmed. Oh, and never let n—–ers, I mean, weeds, sit behind you.
