Credibility Collapse

Quote of the Day

They’re just finding something to attack him. I mean, that’s it. There is no position. There is no goal. There is no set of ideas. It is just, ‘What can we find a way to attack Trump? How can we say that he’s a failure or what he did is not a success?’ … You start to lose credibility when, on every single instance, you’re just saying, ‘Nope, not good. Nope, not good. Nope, not good.’

So, what happens now? I know some Democrats believe without opposition, “MAGA Republicans will take us into fascism.” Some Republicans, in essence, believe, “We are restoring utopia.”

I think there is a nontrivial risk enough extremists on both sides will drink enough of their own Kool-Aid to think violence is the only way to “save America.”

We live in interesting times.

Prepare appropriately.

  1. Well luckily American communist are pretty lazy. If they can’t cajole you or find someone else to force you to do something.
    Their pretty much SOL.
That, and they’re brainwash to not have any ideas other than destroying what someone else already built.
Most of this back and forth is just a distraction from the mandatory economic reset our elites have cornered us with anyway. The likes of which (having kicked the can this far down the road) could take generation to recover from.
One should be thinking as Matt Bracken does at this point. “How much food is grown in your zip code?”
And what else will Tom Homan’s army do when they’re ordered?
As for left and right, democrat-communist-republicans?
Uh what? Oh those. HAHAHAHAHA! They’re a bad joke.

    • In MY zip code? A whole lot of Long Pig, most of whom are Leftists with a worthless tool box of skills. Dialectical Materialism won’t grow much or repair many things.
But as the man said in the miniseries Pacific about keeping teeth as souvenirs, “Think about the diseases.”

    • As for left and right, democrat-communist-republicans?

There’s an old joke: If you want to enact tyranny and trample people’s rights and still be accepted by the international community, rename your nation as the “People’s Republic of [something related to the old name]”.

If you really want to go full authoritarian, rename it to the “Democratic People’s Republic of [something related to the old name]”.

  2. And speaking collapses. What are the odds Hillary has Obama whacked before Trump can arrest him and get him in wit-sec?

    • Holy shit you are drinking Kool aid. Maybe put down the conspiracy theory. Also, Trump is in the files more than others

      • Setting aside the question as to whether Arkancide is real or mostly something to say to get a chuckle out of most people…

If you have access to the files, then please share them. I would be glad to host them here. Email or snail mail work.

  3. Gen Z is the first generation in US history that is in a real material way worse off than their parents, with worse prospects. They WILL radicalize. The big question is will they radicalize left toward the Commies and wealth redistribution and destruction, or toward the right, either fascism or some sort of neo-trad isolationist mercantilism (or something)? An interesting aspect is that there is a major political bifurcation between the young men and the young women, with the men going right in droves and the women going left.

A recent Tucker Carlson interview with Charlie Kirk (not a big fan in general) captures some of the core issues succinctly. https://tuckercarlson.com/tucker-show-charlie-kirk-2025

The commies have been longing for this day, tearing things down trying to make people so poor, indebted, and desperate that they’ll embrace communism as a last-chance hope, and they are seriously pissed that there is a leader like Trump for people to rally around in opposing them. That was not in their game plan. The next four or five years are make or break for most of them. Throw into this global depression, Alberta / Saskatchewan succession wildcards, and AI job losses / changes, and it is, indeed, exciting and interesting times.

  4. It’s so cute the way he thinks lefties have credibility to lose…
