Quote of the Day
There’s always something to be learned, different approaches and solutions to consider, sometimes an idea can come completely out of left field. But you often have to be standing in left field to see it. You can’t see shit from the dugout.

Speaking of coming out of left field, MGM just announced they will produce SpaceBalls 2, and Rick Moranis is coming out of retirement to reprise Dark Helmet.
If you go with the crowd, you get what they get – more or less average pay, housing, etc.
You have to be different to get different.
i see lots of people with average incomes and average abilities (or below average) who expect to live like the rich. Life doesn’t work that way, and anyone claiming it does is a liar.
When I hear people moaning they can’t buy a house, I find they universally live in an expensive area and have a low paying job… when I suggest they move to somewhere with higher pay and cheaper housing, or get educated/ trained to make more I get blank stares.
Where I live is crying for workers and pays well as a result, and it has housing prices below the national average – I know of companies who will hire anybody they can get that has a high school diploma and can pass a drug test starting at $25/ hour.
The McDonald’s starts at $15 with no drug test. There are housing options here under $700/ month.
But many can’t fathom leaving trendy places for ones where they can live better…
I wouldn’t complain too much, or too loudly, about that; if those “trendy place people” discover the higher pay / cheaper housing in your area they just may pursue it.
And for damn sure they’ll bring all their “trendy place” debris with them to reincarnate “trendy” in your yard. . Better to let them marinade in their own juices where it’s “trendy” than ruin your environment.
Think “selective recruitment” not “mass infusion.”
