  1. Unfortunately the ad is misleading since there is not a single assault rifle offered. Not one of those if full-auto, and even the Uzi has the ridiculous 16″+ barrel to make it a semi-auto carbine.

Imagine the on-line markets that would spring up if we no longer had to process our purchases through an FFL. And what could be bought if the GCA were to be repealed…but that’ll never happen. As it is, I just bought a .22 pistol from CDNN-Sports since my local gun shop is one of their “preferred dealers” and only had to pay for shipping and a reasonable transfer fee. Very good prices there; I got the thing for almost a hundred dollars LESS than the gun shop’s lowest cost wholesaler was offering.

Having worked in a gun shop I can tell you straight up that FFL’s work on the lowest profit margins this side of grocery stores. We took our wholesale price and just added 10% to it.
Internet gun brokers buy the same as wholesalers. Then sale to you.
The grift no one seems to get is that you can live without an on-line cut-throat dealer. But you can’t have a gun business without an FFL.
How is the wall-street internet gun dealer going to live without an FFL’s? But they don’t care.
My boss was an honest man. He wouldn’t go to all the other gun dealers and have everybody rise their fees up to a $150.00 dollars transfer fee for internet sales. And put the wallstreeters out of business.
You want to live without a local gun shop? Keep telling people what you just did.

      • Profit margin is only a small part of the story of grocery stores. How often does a gun store turn over its inventory? Grocery stores will do that in about a month, so that 1.5% profit margin is duplicated twelve times a year. I don’t think gun stores can manage that.

Gun stores are the true heroes and patriots here when you include the fact that the BATF will count it as a serious error deserving of severe punishment if you write “Cty” instead of “County” on their forms.

      • I sometimes deliberately pay more at the LGS than what I could buy at a big store because I want to keep them around.

  2. Wow… The now Henry AR-7 seems to be inflation proof by comparison.
