Changes to, Perhaps, Prevent a Stolen Election

Via email from a friend and reader who shall remain nameless:

I’ve volunteered to be a poll worker out here in Georgia. I did the primaries, and just finished training for the general election coming up.

For the Primaries, it was all about how to follow the process, how the machines worked and how to troubleshoot them, and what the laws were around voting and how my county interpreted those laws.

This year, the training included visits from two law enforcement agencies with training on active shooter response and other unpleasantness. There is more discussion this year about mob violence (which includes mass ‘victim’ protests), and even the occasional entitled soccer mom ‘Karen’, who thinks election laws can be broken for her convenience and will scream “Disenfranchisement!” if we don’t break the law for her.  We’re not allowed to be armed, but my county will station an under-cover officer who is armed at each poling place.

Even money has Stacy Abrams creating a scene in which her supporters create a huge disturbance at a polling location in order to get a poll worker to yell at them or tell them to leave. Then we’ll see a video clip of a nice ‘family of color’ going to vote, spliced to the angry poll worker yelling at them to leave. Personally, I think it’s more than even money this will happen. The state elections board made a big deal about this in their training.

Also interesting is that a new law was passed in Georgia requiring the ballots to be hand-counted before leaving the polling place! When I heard about this, I was thrilled! I’d love to get a hand count of the human-readable names on a ballot and compare that with the tally garnered from the barcode printed on those ballots. But alas, that is not how it’s going to work. The way the law is being interpreted is that the ‘number of ballots cast’ will be counted and compared against the scanned count of ‘ballots cast’ to make sure they match.

Ugh. We did that on our own initiative after the primaries just as a due diligence check to make sure that the number of registered voters checking in matched ballots printed matched ballots recorded. We had a solid paper trail and multiple witness signatures for any discrepancy (printer ruined one ballot that needed to be re-printed. We kept the ruined ballot, voided it, and documented the occurrence. Anyone with a discrepancy with a voter registration was given a provisional ballot, and the county will deep-dive into that voter’s legal registration status before counting or tossing the vote. This part we do very well indeed.

It’s the bloody barcodes, and the fact that I don’t know what they tell the counter! I’d be happy to count all the ballots for A and for B manually, and then check that against the report from the counting machine. We post the results from the counting machine at each voting location on the door of the poling location after the polls close. Immediately transparent. But without an audit of the counting machines, I don’t trust them. They’ve been wrong before.

  1. In order for poll watchers to be effective, they have to go to deepest Atlanta, Philadelphia, Las Vegas. etc. And those places aren’t safe. And the undercover police officers work for the same people corrupting the vote. And if the poll watchers protest being excluded, they are liable to arrest for harassing an election official. Unlikely to be an active shooter in those places, unless gang violence spills over but mob assaults are more likely.

There is no solution to this problem other than separating from the cities.

  2. I will say this again:

The DNC couldn’t have picked two bigger imbeciles and unqualified individuals to run on the ticket. Why would they do this? Seriously, why?

When Trump gets huge numbers of votes (85+ million), Harris/Walz will get more. Just enough to win.

Everybody knows that the election will be tampered with. The DNC and their propaganda arm(the fucking media) will flat out deny and do their best to ensure anybody who protests or speaks out will be buried by the media(or worse-the DOJ).

The GOP will give lip service to the idea the election was rigged but actively do nothing to challenge it.
Face it the GOP hates Trump as much as the establishment does. He is a threat to how Washington operates. They have just as much to lose as does the DNC/DOJ/Media.

This is a ‘Fuck You’ to the voter and the people of this country.

“So, Yeah, we rigged the election. What are you going to do about it.”

  3. I like to use the “Joe Sixpack test”: it isn’t sufficient for an election to be honest; it has to be run in a way that allows Joe Sixpack to be confident that it was honest.

For example, it is in theory possible to have voting machines that are honest, but none of them could possibly pass the Joe Sixpack test. This is why I like how NH does things: except in the tiniest towns, ballots are printed forms with circles you fill in, intended to be read by machine so the results come out quickly and presumably correctly. But the key point is that the voter can see his choices clearly. And if there is any need, the ballots can readily be re-counted manually.

Other systems could be constructed that do this similarly well. Unfortunately, too many places in the US seem to have systems that claim to tell you the tallies but offer no way to confirm that those numbers represent reality.

  4. It’s easy. Go back to show up and vote. Show ID, then hand count under the watchful eyes of all concerned.
It is now, and has been a pretty easy process for 100’s of years in countless countries all around the world.
With the results known in hours, not weeks or months.
Everything else is just the communists following Stalin’s dictum of who counts the votes wins.
The real question out there now is who is going to except the election results?
Biden coming up with 10 million more votes than Obama, (in the middle of the night), When Trump was getting more vote than anyone ever. Going to work again for Hor-ris?
And the communist will never except a loss.
Fights on no matter, there ain’t gonna be no winner cept satan this time.
And everyone should remember that machines use electricity. And all building have electric meters.
Without it, they hand count by candlelight.
