What is the worst that could happen?

Given the abundant historical data we can ask some interesting questions that should prove enlightening to people that have an interest in being enlightened.

  1. Based on the historical record what has been the best possible outcome from a country adopting a predominantly Marxist political philosophy? Where and when is this example?
  2. Based on the historical record what has been the best possible outcome from a country adopting a predominantly free market, free minds political philosophy? And where and when is this example?

Compare those two scenarios and highlight the advantages and disadvantages of the outcomes due to one philosophy over the other.

  2. Based on the historical record what has been the worst possible outcome from a country adopting a predominantly free market, free minds political philosophy? Where and when is this example?

Now compare these two scenarios and highlight the advantages and disadvantages of the outcomes due to one philosophy over the other.

If you country were to have a complete political reset and have the option to chose between a Marxist and a free markets, free minds, political philosophy which would be the lowest risk of catastrophe?

Which political philosophy would be the most likely to result in the greatest good for the greatest number?

What is your choice for the political philosophy for your country as it comes out of reset? What are the critical factors in your choice?

  1. Free markets are always going to work better for longer because it fits human nature better than communism.
But Blackrocks are always the end state of capitalism. And truth be known. The sweat and blood it took to get here was in no way “good”. Not if you’re the one digging the ditch for barely enough to feed yourself.
Communism didn’t grow itself. It grew on people’s hearts because predatory capitalism is every bit as brutal as communism ends up.
I see not one wit’s difference in Bill Gates and Joe Stalin.
The answer? The written word. Bible/Constitution provide man with a historical basis of what works. And warns of the pitfalls he always falls into. And grants sound wisdom on which to take action in defense of hearth and country.
And as Solomon told us. There’s only so much one can have on this planet. And best to be satisfied with it.
And therein lies the real problem. Man’s boredom with the reality of his limitations. There’s always something new to him. When there really isn’t much new under the sun.
The only thing that works for very long is man’s willingness to control himself. And sacrifice himself for his children.
Everything works off those two things. And whatever helps him do that. Will work the longest.
Education of all this works to help the younger generations. But as we can see. Literally having the world history at one’s fingertips and spending much of one’s formative years being educated does little to advance humanity.
Logic works. And almost everyone wants to use it. But few do.
The system isn’t so much the problem. It’s the humans in it.

    • Okay… would like to add a new political philosophy to the options given and give historical examples to compare with the other two?

      • OK. We’re living in it right now. Don’t we have the highest living standard humanity has ever seen?
Our constitution was wrote based on historical mistakes of those previous systems.
The only problems we have is we refuse to defend it in favor of some ethereal promise of some better way.
We can right this thing next week if we had the will. Then limp into the future as best we can.
The new political philosophy needs to be us banishing those that play politics. As our forefathers warned us to do.
And standing guard against those that abuse power. The system we have just needs defending.
There isn’t a better system to be created.
The philosophy is there. The law is there. As is the education system.
It just needs us to take it to heart.

          • Best possible outcome for communism? Most would say China. But they have been faking free markets to stay aflaot for the last 60 years. Hasn’t been obtained yet. (Just ask its adherents.)
Best possible outcome of free markets was close under the American constitution and laws made in pursuance thereof. Though rocky. It has lead as to the highest living standard the world has ever seen. And I’m sure it could go much farther.
Worst cases of communism are too numerous to mention. I think once again China will win the personal parking spot in hell. Millions murdered and the count rising. And the worst is yet to come.
For the free market. Americas case is still being written. But I would start the down side example with the French revolution? As we appear to be heading back that way?
When considering these systems. A helpful guide was a book I believe was called, “Death by Government”???
What I would like to see in the great reset?
A constitutional republic. A free market system that places some hard limits on the upper end. Both corporate and personal. As they have been the biggest problems in history.
Limit on government is a given. Hard penalties for violation of the public trust.
Congress that spends most of it’s time arguing about laws more than passing them.
And money that is controlled by them. In which they’re only allowed to set the inflation/deflation rate every four years. And banks are only allowed to loan money they have on deposit.
And a school system that educates children to think critically. About most everything.
And that would be a good start?

  2. “…spending much of one’s formative years being educated does little to advance humanity.” “The philosophy is there. The law is there. As is the education system.”

We DO NOT have an education system! What we have is a dis-education system.
The Left has spent at least 140 YEARS remaking it into a system that deliberately works to keep the student as stupid as possible. Deliberately. It was not accidental that we ended up with such a system. Look up Dewey, the originator of the Dewey Decimal System. He was one of the originators of the push to dumb down the schools here in the US.

    • My point exactly. The insane desire to change us into something…Else. Is what is wrecking the system.
Just like the internet. Can be used for both good and bad. And we have not defended that which is good in the system. So, it’s turning into a tool of oppression.
      Same with education.

    • Will, true if you’re talking about the public “education” system. That is of course not the entirety of education in the USA, and the parts that aren’t the government run school system work quite a lot better for the most part.

Re worst case of communism, China and Russia are both candidates, but it seems to me that North Korea is worse than either. Mass starvation, not even the slightest traces of freedom, a hereditary monarchy variant of marxism that gets worse with every new generation of Kim.

  3. We unfortunately don’t currently live in a free markets/minds society.

One of the major milestones of the perversion of our society was when the Supreme Court ruled that corporations are persons with rights.

This article contains a brief explanation of how that came to be:

However, your post would be an excellent exercise for a high school senior year research project, with a paper mandatory for graduation.
