This is Brother Doug harvesting the wheat on my property yesterday.

Do you know what the average yield in bushels/acre for this year’s harvest is? How’s that compare to previous years?
I do not. Yesterday, via email, I asked Brother Doug, but I have not received an answer. I will ask again the next time I see him.
I expect it was slightly below normal. It did not get the optimal amount of moisture in late spring. But it was an excellent crop in early spring. It still looked good at harvest time, but I don’t have the actual numbers.
Via email from Brother Doug:
OH ya! for amber waves of grain, brother!
Praying you make good money on it. You deserve it.
And who’s got the organic lentils this year? Ya’all need to sale 5 gallon long term storage buckets of’em. Wheat too.
I don’t know anyone that raises organic lentils. There are just too many weeds, viruses, bacteria, worms, and insects that like lentils to be able to get a decent crop without a chemical assist.
Although none of my property had lentils on it this year, Brothers Doug and Gary had several hundred acres of lentils. If you want a few tons (or 50-pound bags) let me know and I will have them set some aside for you. You will need to put them in pails by yourself. Same with the wheat.
