Looks like my newest book, Heretics of St. Possenti, is now live on Amazon. Not the cover I expected, but totally in genre. Let me know what you think. As always, honest and positive reviews are appreciated.
Oh, and I finished the latest short story about Jispin the barbarian, starting here. You can read the whole thing straight through from there.
UPDATE: In the top 20 of the genre. # 2 (and #889 overall Amazon sales rank) as of this writing. Interesting thing, though: look at the covers, and tell me which of these things is not like the other? I suspect that the normal target audience of that genre isn’t middle-aged men. 🙂
Note #2 – the official release date is… November 11th. Veterans day. Very appropriate.
Note #3 – Honest reviews are appreciated.
This is an interesting one because several genres fit. Inspirational religious fiction, certainly. Military fiction also. Can you have it cataloged under both?
I got mine, will post a review when ready.
You can place a book in two categories. One problem is that some are more “competitive” than others – in the category it’s in, the #20 book is something like #8500 overall in sales rank, whereas in Mil S/F the #20 book is about #1000 overall. HosP wouldn’t even be in the top 100 in that category. It may or may not be more appropriate there, but… Placement is an issue. Marketing is an issue – it’s an odd duck. It’s aimed at people who need it, but may not realize they want it for a variety of reasons.
The trick will be to find the right plug in the right place.
I understand now. That makes sense.
It’s early days yet — not much time so far for word of mouth to do its thing.
