I wonder why they think this post is so interesting. And they both came here via a post at DirectorBlue.blogspot.com.

  1. They’ll want to know who’s on to them, I suppose. Every socialist/communist/authoritarian revolution involves lists of domestic enemies, and in this case anyone who advocates for the American principles of liberty is an enemy.

Yuri Bezmenov explained the process quite thoroughly, as it was employed by the Soviet Union. If the standard model holds, we’d be on their second or third tier kill lists, the truly ideological, popular supporters of the left (the useful idiots) being at the top– Once they realize what’s being done they become the most ardent and influential dissidents. The anti-constitutionalists have a little way to go yet, of course, but they’re certainly on that path.

I’ll grant that they may not know they’re on that path (many of them anyway) but that doesn’t change the fact that they’re on it. Tendencies and trends have a way of manifesting themselves in predictable ways, and we’ve seen this story play out many times before, regardless of the intent of individual players within the system. We know, for example, that registration leads to confiscation but many who advocate for registration have at least temporarily convinced themselves that it won’t. What they don’t understand is that these things run a standard set of courses, and that the standard set of courses is knowable in advance.

The American founders understood much of this, they anticipated it, but too few pay attention to that anymore.

I suppose that we should endeavor to leave a way out, for those who eventually realize that they’re on the wrong path, and help them off the merry-go-’round of destruction, so to speak. That’s a tall order though.

  2. On the other hand, maybe there are some sane people there, and they just like your site…

  3. Before I retired, I used to occasionally surf the web at work. If I accessed your site, you’d show a hit from DHS or DOJ, depending on when it was.
Most of the crazies in government agencies are the political appointees at the top. The people actually doing the work are career employees, do the same job the same way regardless of who sits in the big chair (D or R), and for the most part (at least when I was there) follow the law and not their personal politics.
Their politics don’t always match yours or mine, but their loyalty is to the law.
You can believe that or not, but it’s true. I saw it every day, from Ford to Obama.

    • Perhaps in your areas. But the IRS? EPA? Nope, I’m not buying it. I have a childhood friend working at NHS that has converted to a Obozobot. Rabid leftist. You lay down with dogs…………. NOG

  4. It might be a good idea to point out that the post in question was made as an illustration of bad government behavior, not as a template to be followed in the present day.
