« Quote of the day--Doug Huffman | Main | Xenia, not Xena Warrior Princess »

From the position of the federal government, we would acknowledge that there are limits to what we can do. But there certainly should be no limits to what we try to do.

Joe Lockhart
White House spokesman

Regarding Federal role in stopping school violence (two days after Littleton CO school shooting).
[No limits? Even if they try to violate the constitution? I'm get a really bad feeling about this kind of talk.--Joe]

There should be limits and there are limits.

Lockhart and anyone else who thinks likewise should simply move to North Korea, where their attitude would no doubt be welcome. Oh wait, forget that: There's already a dictator there, and he won't allow any competition.

That Lockhart was able to continue being seen in public after making such a statement is testament to our excessive level of tolerance in this country. M. Savage called it "hyper tolerance" and it fits.
