What is a communist?  One who has yearnings
For equal division of unequal earnings.
Idler or bungler, or both, he is willing
To fork out his copper and pocket a shilling.

Eloquently stated, especially if you know the difference between a copper and a shilling.
Here's one I heard from a caller on a talk show many years ago, which I love to repeat;
"A liberal (sic) is someone who'll give you the shirt off of someone else's back."

("Liberal" in this case meaning "socialist")
