Partially because I'm concerned they will soon be difficult to get and partially because some of the women in my life have lost or misplaced the knife I gave them earlier after putting them through knife school I purchase several Spyderco Delicas a few minutes ago. I ordered them from The Blade Shop who seemed to have the best price ($45 when the MSRP is $90) in the quick search I did. Free shipping on orders over $125.

It's been a while since I've bought a knife -- not that I really need yet another one, but I don't, e.g., have an example of anything with the Axis Lock mechanism in my collection. And I'd like to add some more Ed van Hoy designs, and, oddly enough, I have yet to buy anything by Benchmade -- their Pardue designs being particularly nice, IMHO. And then there's the Allen Elishewitz ... the list goes on.

But you got me to looking around, as I had similar thoughts to yours. I see I can get the SOG Trident folder for a nice low price right now from Amazon, and Blade Shop is running some sort of sale on the Benchmade Pardue designs. I'm being sorely tempted -- maybe I'll put off getting a new motherboard for a bit.

Thanks for the pointer. Reasonable prices. Maybe I'll get that Cold Steel Ti-Lite I have been wishing for. Or, Maybe the Kershaw Leek. Aw heck maybe both...

I almost bought a knife from The Blade Shop a few days ago, but after seeing how frequently their customers have problems, I decided to buy it from Amazon instead, which had a price almost as low plus free shipping. I think you might want to be careful buying from TBS.

Hm, I am going to have to echo what Paul said, especially after seeing this thread. Let us know how it goes, and if the customer service (or apparent lack thereof) is worth the cheaper prices. It seems they have managed to piss off a lot of people in the past...

Linoge, Ouch! That's a nasty thread.

I received my knives. I have nothing to complain about.
