Fred has said some good things, but then Bush 41 bought himself a lifetime NRA membership before his election, only to cancel it and publically chastise the NRA after he got into office. Cheap stunts and undemonstrated positions won't protect your rights.

I've been a little suspicious of Fred ever since he chaired the Thompson committee hearings on the Chinese money coming into the Clinton/Gore campaign coffers. Lots of amazing revelations there, which all fell into a media swamp of dead silence, right before Thompson got his sit-down gig with a popular TV series.

I wouldn't assign one shred of credibility to what any of these people say. Instead, look at their voting records and other actual behavior.

Rob: I believe that Ron, in spite of his great positions on many things, is in fact nuts. He was courting the Truthers, after all. Anyone who lends an ear to, and then entertains, the Truthers has to be off his rocker. I saw him do it.

At this moment in time I don't see one strong candidate in the whole lot. Nary a testicle could be assembled from the contents of the entire lot of Republican scrota. So far as I can tell, it's still a choice between the less rotten of this current basket of old fruit, and I'm tired of these choices. But how I would LOVE to be proven wrong.
