Proof of concept installation.  Yes, its an AK (AK-74 semiauto, but it could be any AK-- The principles are all the same).  Video - Less than 1MB.

This is just a proof-of-concept prototype. We're not sure at the moment whether this would be made as an add-on for existing AKs, or as OEM only. Most of the better configurations I've come up with rely on careful modification to the receiver-- requiring a gunsmith or other skillful metal worker. When it comes to the reliability of the action, we don't want to trust the installation to just anyone. We'll see if I can come up with something a little more "drop-in" and a bit less "drill, mill and rivet".
