The right of citizens to be safe in their homes and communities can never be subject to a popular vote.

It is astonishing that in a city where the leaders preach how open they are to diversity, they encouraged voters to blindly march to the polls last November to practice a blatant, egregious and despicable form of social bigotry against their neighbors and fellow citizens.

Working to deprive others of their property and their right to self-defense just because you don't like firearms is morally repugnant, and with today's ruling, the people who pushed Proposition H last fall should feel ashamed of themselves.

They're not merely "Working to deprive others of their property and their right to self-defense..." They are involved in a conspiracy to deprive fellow citizens of their Constitutionally protected rights. That would make them fellons at the least, and possibly traitors.

The bottom line is; As long as they can get away with doing this, it will continue to happen. Which Republican is going to step up to the plate and call for the prosecution of these criminals?

"Which Republican"? None. It's a lot like when they were lynching blacks 60 years ago. It's against the law but it doesn't matter because the victims are just gun owners--no one important.

I have a dream that one day on the hills of California the sons of former anti gun activists and the sons of JPFO members will be able to stand down together at a shooting range of brotherhood. I have a dream that one day even the state of New York, a desert state, sweltering with the heat of injustice and oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice. I have a dream that my two children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the caliber, size, appearance or price of their rifles but by the content of their character. I have a dream today.
