The science is abundantly clear: More guns do not stop crime. Guns kill more children each year than auto accidents. More children die by gunfire in a year than on-duty police officers and active military members. Guns are a public health crisis, just like COVID, and in this, we are failing our children, over and over again.

Sigh… I remember when I subscribed to Scientific American before the internet. Like the ACLU it was a respected organization. Now, they too are making the argument that the science is settled when they should know that science is a process – an abstraction – that can have no opinion. Did they not read The Black Swan? The ‘science’ is never settled. It is a meaningless phrase.
It’s like the phrase ‘stolen land’ when all land is in fact stolen land if you look back in history. It too is a meaningless phrase.
It makes me think that we are living the age of meaningless phrases.
Or deliberate deception on a massive scale.
Their correct. More guns don’t stop crime. Just like more guns don’t cause crime. People do.
Guns are tools right?
And as we just witnessed in Uvalde. Having all the guns in the world won’t do crap if your not ready to use them in a righteous manner.
If guns don’t stop crime it’s because people with guns don’t want to stop crime.
Which brings us to the point. Communist morons have done everything in their considerable power to stop people from the proper use of guns. People practiced and proficient with tools don’t have a tendency to misuse them.
Almost all of the ignorance about and around guns is directly caused by the moronic communist left. Witness Switzerland and machine guns.
(As a mental exercise. If we started hanging communists. Would they claim the availability of rope was the problem? I trow not. They would have no problem blaming you.)
As for UnScientific-UnAmerican magazine. What else can we expect from any type of power structure? Anything with a shred of credibility will be co-opted for propaganda. It’s just baked in.
The communists are that desperate. The lies are failing, and they know it.
