Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated. I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential—I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it.

Would someone please educate Elon Musk on the difference between a Democracy and a Republic, and, most importantly, let him know that the US is the latter, and not the former?
Either that, or, Musk’s quote resounds quite hollow and without substance.
Musk is a master at playing the crowd. Witness.
Making electric car to save the environment?
Going into space were most people dream?
Internet satellite systems?
These are all more emotional toys than of true utility.
He knows the difference. But most of his rich and powerful friends don’t.
Talk republic and you’ll be a white supremist inside of 20 minutes with this mob.
You don’t get where he is by doing that.
