That the one gun found at the scene was both stolen and converted to full auto, and the event is more like a demonstration of why California’s gun laws, indeed their entire approach to crime, is completely moronic.

They are not moronic laws. They are specifically designed to keep weapons from the law abiding while inconveniencing criminals not at all. They word is evil.
Conservatives really, really need to stop thinking the enemy is stupid.
Richard beat me to it, but then I suppose that by now, any of you who follow this blog and read the comments should be able to anticipate my response. California’s gun laws would appear “moronic” if and only if you believe that their earnest and true aim is to reduce crime and improve overall safety. But such a belief has no basis in demonstrable fact or evidence whatsoever. Therefore the correct statement is, California’s gun laws are, to some extent, working to encourage criminals, to demoralize, intimidate and frustrate the law-abiding, and to render the law-abiding more vulnerable, and that their cover (the false proposition that they’re designed to reduce crime) is working brilliantly. The cover is working so well in fact that we’ve adopted it, and are reinforcing and promulgating it ourselves!
And once again, everything that’s happening in the world today, being of any significance or consequence, has multiple, poignant and specific references to it in the Bible which will give us better insight and understanding of it. To wit;
“Now the serpent was more subtle than any of the beasts of the field…” Genesis 3:1
Thus the assertions of any of his servants must never be taken at face value. There is great subtlety begind them. There’s always some other agenda.
“Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.” John 8:44
I could give pages of this stuff, but you get the point. Thus his servants are all liars, because their supreme leader is a liar and the father of lies. When on occasion they say something that is, on the surface, true, it is always as a part of some lie, or manipulation. It’s how they all operate and they’re proud of it, because they’re “winning”. And it is a war they’re winning, and “all is fair in love and war”, they’ll say, and they’ll always admire a skillful and effective liar because that’s how their master gets things done. And never forget that their enemy is anyone who speaks truth, upholds the Law (primarily the Decalogue), or who looks to expose them and their game.
“For we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12
And so it says right there that it makes no difference who is “dumb” or “stupid” or “moronic” or “smart”, or a bloody genius. Instead it matters who is in charge of a person’s discernment, beliefs, perceptions, “lusts” if you will, and thus his associations and goals.
Normal people with a functioning sense of logic and reasoning look at the Sacramento shooting as proof that “gun control” doesn’t work as advertised, and rethink the concept of how to reduce criminal behavior.
The Gun Control True Believers look at the Sacramento shooting and conclude that it’s proof “gun control” doesn’t go far enough, that guns should be banned entirely. (Think: “If there were zero guns, there’d be zero shootings.” They’re not wrong, but they cannot see that removing ALL guns is an impossible endeavor or that criminals would substitute other weapons. Alternatively, they know this and they’re true goal is to disarm only the law-abiding.)
No amount or weight of evidence to the contrary will ever convince the True Believers. Try instead to demonstrate to rational moderates that “gun control” comes at a steep price, with no positive effects and a whole lot of negative ones, specifically because gun laws only affect the law-abiding.
I would be very interested in knowing the details of this full-auto conversion.

Just as the whole ghost gun lie is total bullshit. Criminals in Cali. use stolen guns. And with the serial number left on to prove it. As possession of a stolen gun is a misdemeanor under California law. (For that and stolen cars. By making it retroactive they could make their 3 strike felons back to two strikes, release them. And reduce the prison over-population.)
It’s just communist elitists’ running the same tired, stupid game is all it is.
