I will have an AK-47 and a croissant.

[I don’t think I see any croissants or AK-47s being offered. I prefer maple bars and AR-15s anyway. But I don’t fault Coleman for his choice. To each his own.—Joe]

  1. Seems unsanitary… with the possibility of getting crumbs in the rifles and gun oil on the maple bars. But no doubt they have ways of dealing with it.

“I’d like the AK to go, please. I’ll enjoy the croissant here.”

    • As a forum member on a forum I frequent once said,
“I think it is wrong to stuff snack cakes up your action.”

      • At least it would be easy enough to find out which gun will choke on a cream-puff, the AK, or the AR.

  2. I had to wait 8 months for it, but my Rock River Arms carbine just arrived a while back.

It’s their “LAR-47”, which is a combination of an AR-style upper chambered in 7.62×39 , with an AR-style lower that has a magazine well and mag release that accepts standard AK-style magazines. It handles and eats from my standardized Hungarian 20-rounders just fine.

I refer to it as the “Frankenstein rifle” since it’s stitched together out of those different styles. I got tired of the inaccuracy of the typical 7.62×39 semi-auto’s (including AK’s, SKS’s, and the older Ruger Mini-30’s) but much prefer that caliber to the varmint round of .223.

It’ll shoot 1-1/2″ groups at 100 yards with steel-case Wolf ammo using the scope on a QD mount, and I put a set of BUIS on it in case the scope goes toes up.

It seemed like a nice combination of features between the more-accurate AR and the bullet-proof magazine of the AK.

  3. I’m thinking an apple fritter with a large cup of dark roast. And a case of 9mm to go, please. Unless by chance you have one of those new Seekin’s Havak, Hit rifles, in 6.5 creedmoor?
Like the meme says. ATF, alcohol, tabaco, and firearms. Should be a convenience store.
Glad I didn’t work in a place like that. I’m fat enough as it is!

  4. It’s Cops & Doughnuts, a small chain here in Michigan. The main bakery is in Claire, MI.

The one in the picture is located inside an Ace Hardware in Midland, MI.

Yes, the chain is owned by retired cops.

  5. I remember my Macro Econ teacher talking about the classic “government spending is about making choices, simplified to ‘G’ and ‘B’, for Guns and Butter. They can choose Guns (military and defense spending, making the country a hard target) or Butter (social welfare spending, making the population more comfortable).” etc., etc. That pic is both Guns AND Butter (mixed with sugar). I like it.
