The best legal minds seem to be in agreement. Rittenhouse is not guilty and should be acquitted. Alan Dershowitz even agrees he should sue media outlets for their claims he murdered people:
Harvard law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz says Kyle Rittenhouse “should be acquitted” of killing two men and wounding a third during riots and protests last year in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and he should file defamation lawsuits against media outlets for claiming that he’s guilty of murder.
“If I were a juror, I would vote that there was reasonable doubt [and] that he did act in self-defense,” Dershowitz told Newsmax on Nov. 13.
Rittenhouse, if acquitted, should then “bring lawsuits” against corporate news outlets for articles claiming the teen engaged in “vigilante justice,” Dershowitz said.
“It’s CNN who is involved in vigilante justice. It’s The New Yorker that’s guilty of vigilante justice,” he said.
At a minimum I would add ABC and USA Today to the list of contributors to Rittenhouse’s yachts..
The problem is the jurors have already been thoroughly intimidated.
I expect guilty on all charges. After all the jurors have all been told in no uncertain terms if they do not rule guilty on all charges they and their entire families will be killed. And while I would expect it to be BLM that does it I actually think the Biden administration to have done it.
One has to remember the left wants literally everyone who opposes them destroyed. They (The far left running the country) cannot let Kyle off. He must be made an example of.
The list of people who slandered and defamed Kyle Rittenhouse is extensive….among those on the list would be many politicians, including
Pedo Joe. Sadly while he should sue everyone involved in this
high tech lynching with the nature of the current judiciary successfully
doing so would be akin to completing the tasks assigned to Hercules.
I am waiting to see if jurors from a small town/county will calmly expect their neighbors to cover their back, whatever they decide. Small towns aren’t part of “Blue” America.
Close enough to Blue America to have the authorities stand down during a riot.
I worry a lot about jury intimidation.
If I were Kyle, I would have to weigh the possibility of being rich against more mud wrestling with the pigs. It would be better for the country if he sued but I’m not sure it would be better for him.
What about the cop fired for contributing to Kyle’s defense fund. What’s his standing to sue?
And just like Sandman, the only way Kyle gets any money will be through non-disclosure agreements.
The only way we will know how much he got, IS by the size yacht he buys.
