Quote of the day—Taliban

We understand people kept weapons for personal safety. They can now feel safe. We are not here to harm innocent civilians.

Taliban in Afghan capital Kabul start collecting weapons from civilians
[That is so reassuring. They have me totally convinced to give them my ammo and guns. Have them stop by my house some time and I’ll let them have it.—Joe]

  1. This, from the leader of the Taliban, who SWORE that, if he were released from Gitmo, he would not return to Afghanistan.

  2. One would likely require a definition of what they mean by “innocent” in this statement.

I’d guess it probably means “very few people who aren’t Taliban, and only those who adhered strictly to the tenants of Taliban-sponsored Islam their entire lives”.

Any woman who ever chose to not cover her face? Not innocent.

Any person ever seen in public talking to a NATO trooper in anything other than a completely hostile manner? Not innocent.

I’d argue that the total number of “innocent civilians” in Afghanistan at the moment, in the eyes of the Taliban, is vanishingly small.

    • In the eyes of Marxists – including those “leading” or aspiring to lead our country – there are no innocents.

  3. “For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.”
    1 Thessalonians 5:3

  4. ”Have them stop by my house some time and I’ll let them have it.”

Don’t make the mistake of thinking they’re nearly that stupid. This isn’t going to be a Hollywood style, face to face shootout in the street outside the saloon at high noon where everyone knows the good guys from the bad guys. That would be an immediate disaster for them, as you and they know.

They know what they’re doing. They’ve already been assuming positions at universities, teaching your children, worming into positions in government and financial institutions, and in key industries, throughout the country.

While we’re looking at the various shitshows overseas and having our discernment clouded by emotion, they’ve been quietly setting up shop over here for decades now. They don’t wear dirty rags nor carry RPGs here as though they’re in some idiotic stage play wherein everyone is an obvious, crude stereotype. They wear suits and ties and all the regular attire of everyday American life and they speak politely, shake your hand, and smile when appropriate. They deliver your parcels, prepare your food, manage your local bank, or work in your local hospital, etc. They’re some of your local pastors, lawyers, and marriage counselors. Indeed they’re favored in hiring and promotion policies and practices, in the name of diversity, throughout our society.

They won’t need your guns when they have access to your key infrastructure, supply chains, financial services, information, and even to your very thought paradigms.

Oh no, The Dark Ages 2.0 is much more sophisticated than the early beta version. This time they have all the bases covered.

  5. Anyone else thinking this was all done on purpose? What the CIA missed how strong the Taliban was? We just pulled out in time for them to get a mountain of modern firepower just like ISIS did in Iraq. With the same bloodbath about to begin.
Damn, it’s almost like Obama’s third term. And this time he has puppet-fall guys to take the blame.
And history will lay it all at the feet of a senile cracker and a Jamaican whore?
    Well played, we are being.

  6. A lot of things make more sense, if you assume that the (p)resident is on the same side as the Taliban.

  7. Of true interest to us. Should be the goat-humpers using the American bio-metric database of Afgan citizens that worked with the US and allies.
To hunt them down ad execute them.
Anyone want to ask how much the Chinese know about us?
