Quote of the day—Thomas Abt

Everything we know about evidence-based violence interruption says you have to interact directly with the highest-risk individuals. And that’s true for police, but that’s also true for all sorts of community services, including but not limited to street outreach. So for all of these individuals who are at the highest risk, all of a sudden, all of those services stop because of the physical distancing mandates.

What Philadelphia Reveals About America’s Homicide Surge
[Ahh… This can explain the rise in violent crime over the last year or so. I had not had a good hypothesis for what was going on. This sounds quite plausible.—Joe]

  1. Plausible for a small portion of it. More than that, though, it is the left ginning up violence to keep people scared and agitated and not thinking clearly to oppose the rapid descent of tyranny with mask dictates, vax dictates, distancing dictates, etc, which are all designed to disrupt communication between normies, to make them more willing to do ANYTHING to get “back to normal.” This is the “new normal” the left is aiming for. Agitated, divided, uncertain, desperate, dependent.

There is also the “brain fog” that some vaxxed people are getting, likely the result of sub-critical microclots in their system, that may give rise to abnormal behavior. mild blood thinners like low-dose aspirin may help with this, but clearing the protein spikes stored in the lymphatic system should help reduce the future ADE and current symptoms. The treatments here https://covid19criticalcare.com/covid-19-protocols/ for “outpatient care” might help, and it looks like nicotine may help, too (if you are not a smoker, likely low-dose gum would be best). Oddly, fasting may also help as it triggers apoptosis and a metabolic reset that could be beneficial.

    • ” This is the “new normal” the left is aiming for. “

I’ve been wondering if the widespread escalation in violence is exactly what the Left wants, and has been actively working toward since before the election.

Create enough violence and “the federal government will have to step in to deal with it.”

That may be the plan, but I suspect we’re not all that far from “local intervention being applied” in some areas.

      • Yes, federal intervention in the form of a new woke force from DC.
And local intervention against the new cartel op in your area will bring the gestapo down hard on you.
The Hammonds got five years federal terrorism time for back-burning 50 acres of BLM ground. To save their winter pasture from a fire the BLM set to improve the land?
Contrast that to antifa and the forest circus/BLM, (yes, both of them), of today? Shitcago gang-bangers on the no-bail, you bail, program. And Kyle Rittenhouse.
The escalation in violence is nothing more than the latest version of communist-totalitarians, putsching the narrative.
And their not even trying to hide it anymore.

      • “Create enough violence and “the federal government will have to step in to deal with it.”

        That is exactly the plan.
They create the problem by going soft on gangs, because RACISM! then they can crack down on law abiding folks because they are melanin challenged.
It’s all for the betterment (read: destruction) of traditional America.

  2. “Everything we know about evidence-based violence interruption says you have to interact directly with the highest-risk individuals.”

Translation: You have to beat down the violent people to get them to stop being violent. When you stop doing that, their violence escalates.

Or, it could be that Democrats told the police to stop, you know, policing, and the criminal classes (The Democrats’ main constituency) responded accordingly.

  3. Perhaps this “physical distancing” is a factor in the increased crime.
However MY money is on the ugly reality that in most places where
crime rates are skyrocketing the people tasked with actually ENFORCING
the laws….the DA’s/Prosecutors….are NOT DOING THEIR JOBS.
They are allowing violent people to be released without bail. They are
refusing to prosecute MANY crimes that they consider “victimless”….
and when lowlifes get away with property crime they see no reason to
not move on to VIOLENT crimes directed at people.
