Quote of the day—Andrew Cuomo

The NRA’s (National Rifle Association) dream of a society where everyone is terrified of each other and armed to the teeth is abhorrent to our values.

Andrew Cuomo
Governor of New York

New Yorkers demand right to carry hidden guns as America reels from bloody week of mass shootings
[Anyone who believes an organization with five million members has a “dream of a society where everyone is terrified of each other” is delusional and/or pushing “the big lie”.—Joe]

  1. I’m OK with everyone being armed to the teeth, and everyone in Andrew Cuomo’s aspiring ruling-class being terrified because their values are abhorrent to their prospective ruled-class.

I’m more than OK with that. Like most criminals, they’re very worried about getting shot because what they plan to do comes squarely in the column of “justified reasons for being shot”.

  2. The Governor seems to not understand that the only reason he hasn’t been tarred, feathered and run out of town on a rail is because the five million NRA members only want to have to use their arms defensively.

If five million people took up arms in any semblance of organization, he and his ilk would be but a footnote in history.

But at the end of the day, most of us only want to live their lives quietly so he gets a pass for now. However, his insistence that we live unable to defend ourselves in fear does not speak well for his and all leftist in general plans for the population. And that is why the 2nd Amendment exists no matter what they say to the contrary.

  3. We should live in a society that’s terrified of what our neighbor can do. That’s the only limiting factor of my neighbor’s bad behavior.
Doesn’t Cuomo want us all terrified of what the government can do? So we behave every grinding edict that comes out of his pee-brain? Fear isn’t abhorrent to his values. He loves it. His whole life revolves around you drowning in it.
And as already stated. The reason he doesn’t want YOU armed to the teeth is so HE doesn’t have to live in the same fear.
Without hypocrisy Cuomo would starve to death. Damn! Where’s the really bad vaccine reaction when you need it?

    • I was going to say that Andrew Cuomo wants a society in which everyone is terrified to tell him “no” to every tyrannical and thuggish thought that comes into his head for which his position of wealth and power allows him to indulge.

    • Yes. Foremost of which is “I deserve what I want because I am me.”

      • Oh, I know. I was being sarcastic. Most of the time I don’t bother but I hadn’t had a second cup of tea yet and I was still surly.

  4. Wow, I haven’t seen the “hidden guns” talking point in years.

  5. Nobody with the IQ of soap gives a red rats ass what CumHole says….he’s just another politician and criminal, but I repeat myself, who should be twitching on the end of a rope.

  6. “Big lie”? Oy vey, that’s antisemitic.

  7. The one, important, tidbit of truth in the quote is that the criminal mind is indeed terrified of the lawful, armed citizen. No one else, of course, has the slightest thing to worry about. As the saying goes, “Don’t start nothin’, won’t be nothin’.” But the criminal mind is all about “startin’ somethin'” (something backed up by threats and physical force) and they don’t want any real opposition.

THAT’S their problem with an armed society– They are emotionally bonded with the criminal element.

The attempts at sexual humiliation are just misdirection (akin to, “Oh yeah? Well your mother is a pig!”), and are standard fare for the alliance of evil. It’s mostly a way of dehumanizing their opposition (disqualifiying you from the argument) rather than addressing anything real. They shouldn’t HAVE to bother bandying words with the likes of you at all, ever, anyway. It’s far beneath them. The sexual insults, specifically, come from a more deeply-rooted, general hatred of the human race, which can only be understood in Biblical terms.

The comments on urban warfare from know-nothing leftist snowflakes and hired, or volunteer, agitators, are merely comical. We could call it “grasping at straws”.

    To dismiss that particular argument in one, succinct paragraph;
If our small arms are basically nothing compared to their tanks and aerial gunships, et al, then the totalitarian/authoritarians should have no problem with them, and so the fact that they’re so vehemently opposed to an armed society is proof positive that an armed society, even with small arms, does indeed pose a credible threat to their Jesuit pope’s dream of total authoritarian power. QED.

But of course, in their collective authoritarian mind, the mere thought of a lowly, untitled, “unauthorized” citizen keeping and bearing arms (specifically, exercising individual freedom of conscience) flies in the face of everything they’ve ever believed in! It’s like a middle finger shoved in their collective faces, and is, essentially, a provocation to war. The lawful, armed citizen is, in Biblical parlance, “reckoned among the transgressors”. It has become apparent to all in recent years that the armed criminal is no problem for the left— When someone commits a crime with a gun, they go after the law-abiding! At times they even openly admire organized criminals, for example, and seem to forget “black lives mattering” when it comes to the daily murders in some of our American cities, but you get a group of the lawful together, keeping and bearing arms, and Boy Howdy– THAT gets up their ire, such that they’ll never stop talking about it from now ’till Kingdom come!
