Quote of the day—Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez

Southern states are not Red States. They are suppressed states. Which means the only way we are going to heal is through the actual liberation of southern states, the actual liberation of the poor, the actual liberation of working people, from economic, social, and racial oppression.

That’s the only way.

[It appears she mistakes (giving her the benefit of doubt as to being stupid rather than evil) seeing people is a state of relative freedom as having that freedom forced upon them rather than having the comfort of a nanny state. And hence, they need to be liberated from that freedom.

George Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty Four was supposed to be a warning about an impending dystopia instead of an instruction manual:

War is Peace

Freedom is Slavery

Ignorance is Strength

I would like to suggest AOC work on liberating her own New York City from such things as the oppressive laws against gun ownership, the size of soft drinks, rent control, and the terrible tax rates.

But that won’t happen. What we view as “features” she sees as “bugs”. There is no common ground between such people.—Joe]

  1. Re: Sandy. LOL, FOC! Bitch. You got the talking part done.
    FOC, it’s the new MAGA!

  2. … giving her the benefit of doubt as to being stupid rather than evil …

On the one hand: Hanlon’s Razor — Never attribute to malice that which could be adequately explained by stupidity.

On the other hand: When someone who is honestly mistaken receives correction, one of two things will happen: he/she will cease to be mistaken, or he/she will cease to be honest.

And on the shooting hand: She’s been in office for a few years, and been called out for “misunderstandings” like this multiple times. She should know better by now.

Thus, she is no longer honestly mistaken, having ceased to be honest. Her statements like this are no longer “adequately explained by stupidity”.

It’s very kind of you to give her the benefit of doubt. I do, too, but I keep this in the back of my mind.

  3. A man much smarter than me said we don’t sell features, we sell benefits.
A feature without meaning full benefits is a waste of engineering time.

Our features have no benefit to her, in fact would be considered detriments to the plans of her group.

    Expect no quarter.
