Why can’t the U.S. be more like England?

Ever since I can remember anti-gun people have used England as an example of how guns should be regulated/banned. Here is what you get, UK Knife Crime Hits Record High, Murder Surges in Khan’s London

Knife crime in England and Wales reached a historic high in the year leading up to the end of March, as murders climb again in Sadiq Khan’s London.

London Assembly Member David Kurten said in response to the surge in crime: “There must be an end to politically correct policing — more stop & search, more arrests of burglars and violent gang members, less hassling people for having the wrong opinions.”

Former Brexit Party MEP Martin Daubney added: “All this while London’s dismal Mayor, Sadiq Khan, orders an urgent review into… ‘racist’ statues.”

The proportion of crimes actually being solved in England and Wales also fell to a record low, with just 7 per cent of criminal acts resulting in a court appearance for a suspect, down from 8 per cent last year and 16 per cent in 2014-15 when such records began to be compiled.

The Home Office report said that the fall represented some 33,460 fewer offences resulting in a criminal charge or court summons compared to the year prior. The number of sexual offences that resulted in charges fell from 5.2 per cent two years ago to just 3.2 per cent last year.

The number of rapes that ended in prosecution was just 1.4 per cent.

This is why we have the Second Amendment.

Just say, “No!” to gun control.

  1. England was more like the US when the US was full of Englishmen. (Note that when the 2nd was drafted, an Englishman of any status was expected to keep a smallsword handy, and in the Victorian era it upgraded to a revolver.)

England didn’t get stabby until they started replacing the Englishmen.

It’s not the laws, it’s the People.

  2. Size and strength are much more important in a knife fight than in a gun fight. Skill at arms (training) is somewhat more important. So it is quite clear who gets disempowered if guns are banned.

  3. Knife crime will increase as long as they keep releasing people who have been arrested for knife crime. NYC is a prime example. NYPD arrests a person for burglary, jail lets him/her out and SHAZAM, the perp commits another burglary.

If you pull a knife, gun, club or long sword during a crime, spend a day in lock up and then let free, why would you stop pulling knives and robbing people?

Government finally is making crime pay.

  4. All the comments above. And the fact that two wars in rapid succession killed off most of the warrior gene pool. No one wants to fight back.
It’s what made America what it is. To get on a boat and cross the N.Atlantic in early history was to take your life in one’s own hands. It gave us the world’s gene pool of risk takers. And created some of the most dangerous/ well armed warriors, and innovators to ever walk the face of the earth. We have our problems. But.
Contrast England of today. Criminals gangs raping thousands of children. And all they can manage to do is arrest Tommy Robinson for reporting it?
