Quote of the day—Kshama Sawant @cmkshama

While we await details of this tragic killing, it highlights capitalism’s brutality & endemic violence. Our movement rejects insinuations & falsehoods perpetuated by corporate & conservative media that this violence is outcome of CHOP or of our movement.

  1. Right … She prefers her own insinuations and falsehoods.

If you lie hard and often and big enough, you can redefine reality, right? Just, please, start with gravity – go big or go home, I say.

  2. Keep on believing that crap, Kshama. After all it wasn’t capitalism that resulted in the deaths of millions in Russia, China, and other countries. Actually it probably wasn’t socialism that resulted in those deaths. But, here’s the deal – at the top of every socialist regime is some power hungry dude (or woman) who wants to reap the benefits of all that free labor. In capitalism, we freely admit that the desire to get ahead and show some profit and benefits to our labors is at the root of how the system works. In the practical application of socialism, everybody on the lower rungs of the tier is supposed to suppress that desire – but the top dudes don’t.

I’ll believe Sawant when I see Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos downtown shooting Antifa vandals. Until then, just shut up and go away.

  3. How much stupid can be packed into one statement? Let us count:
    1) She admits to not knowing the details, but says it highlights capitalism’s brutality & endemic violence. If you don’t know the details, it can’t highlight anything but your ignorance.
    2) If you look at statistical correlation between capitalist nations and level of violence, the more capitalist (freer) it is, in general the less violence there is. she’s inverting the truth
    3) Compare rates of violence and levels of brutality on a historical basis, such as before after the industrial revolution, and things are pretty good now in today’s capitalist system. <her ignorance is showing, or she's straight up lying.
    4) She rejects factual statements, calling them “insinuations and falsehood,” why simultaneously making insinuations and false statements. The chutzpah on that… person.
    5) She conflates corporate media (hard left propagandists and Dem mouthpieces) and conservative media (pretty much all non-traditional sources).

She should be taken seriously just long enough to try her for seditious treason, strip her of her citizenship and all accrued benefits for violating her oath, and deport her with extreme prejudice. Or remove her to a carbon-neutral farm collective in Yukon Territory (non-capitalist, therefore non-brutal and non-violent per her words) to support herself in the style in which she’d like us to become accustomed.
