Quote of the day—MTHead

Ask yourself this. If some person was standing in front of you calling you a racist. Would you believe them? Now, between you and the person saying something like that. Who is better trained at arms? You going to let that person hurt you or your family? Especially with no police to restrain you? Americans are only going to play this game so long. Their not buying all those guns and ammo to make a profit on a shortage. They understand full well. I don’t think the AOC’s of the world do.

The only nightmares I have lately is of my gun jamming.

  1. I am convinced the Left has less than no idea what happens when The Threshold is crossed (see: Correia, Larry, “volume knob vs switch”).

That Threshold point will be an individual one, which, among discriminating, rational and responsible adults, is as it should be. Heaven help if it ever becomes a society-level one, the Democrat party won’t be able to even field a candidate for 50 years because there won’t be enough living Democrats to vote; “pogrom” will require an entirely new definition.

At the moment, the Uncontrolled Radical and Violent Lefties are a rather bothersome inconvenience, and their impact is largely localized, despite the media’s unfortunate, but entirely predictable, complicity in amplifying it; if they become a serious and severe widespread threat to life in general they will find that Things Do Not Go Well.

I really, really hope we can avoid that.

  2. To quote Larry Niven’s book ‘Oath of Fealty’:

Think of it as evolution in action.
