Quote of the day—Charles M. Blow

Biden continues to commit unforced error, like the hubbub he created and later apologized for when he said at the end of an interview with The Breakfast Club’s Charlamagne tha God: “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

It was so cavalier and comfortable that it was shocking. Biden doesn’t get to define blackness nor excommunicate anyone from it.

But that wasn’t the only problem in the interview. He said just seconds after that statement that “The NAACP has endorsed me every time I’ve run.” That never happened, and the NAACP had to release a statement to clarify that it “is a nonpartisan organization and does not endorse candidates for political office.”

This is not the first time Biden has lied about his relationship to the black community. He has repeatedly lied over the years about marching in the civil rights movement, even though advisers warned him to stop it. And, he repeatedly said that he was arrested in South Africa trying to see imprisoned anti-apartheid leader Nelson Mandela.

None of this ever happened.

Biden Can Beat Trump … if He Doesn’t Blow It
[Don’t ever forget that this is the cream of the crop at the national level from the Democrat party.—Joe]

  1. Bill Clinton would lie for no apparent reason, apparently just for the sake of lying. Remember how the pro-Clinton media would marvel at his ability to lie.

    Far from being a detriment among Democrat supporters, a pattern of lying can be a résumé enhancement. “He may be a liar, but he’s our liar” is often the attitude. After all, if a man is clearly willing to lie for “the cause”, it shows his commitment. Openly lying is also a signal to the criminal class, of all races, that he’s one of them.

    It’s part and parcel to the mindset;
    “Liberty” and “justice”, to the left, means “freeing” themselves from the “hangups” and “artificial constraints” of Judaeo Christian morality, law, and, well; all standards of behavior. To that mindset then, bold, open and obvious lying is a sign of strength and, as Dan Rather famously put it, “Courage”.

  2. This isn’t just repeated “unforced error”, this is repeated “Own Goal.”
    And is it really that for the Leftists he’s “Their Liar”, or is it coming to the point that he’s “Our Village Idiot”? I understand that the “Anybody but Trump” crowd would vote for Josef Stalin if it meant Trump would be defeated in November, but they have to have great trust that Biden’s handlers have a good handle on him (sorry) so that he never gets the nuclear football or manages to insult a visiting head of state. Can they really keep him in the basement for four or (God forbid) eight years and have surrogates do all the presidential stuff? With the media running interference for them, I suppose anything is possible.

    Perhaps the NAACP he refers to isn’t the NAACP, but another organization of that name.

    • Limbaugh refers to it, somewhat correctly, as the NAALCP, or National Association for the Advancement of Leftist Colored Persons, but he’s got it somewhat wrong too– There’s no advancement. If there were true advancement they’d lose their base, both black and white. It is thus necessary to keep their black voters in dire straights, or at least to keep them convinced that they’re in dire straights, that the bogeymen, white supremacists, are keeping them there, and that leftists and Progressives are their only hope for deliverance, sustenance, justice and salvation.

      It would correctly be named the National Association for the Advancement of Leftist Concepts and Premises though. Race is nothing but a convenient “hook”, or rationalization; a leverage point, pretense on which to excite and entice the emotions, which in turn drive out reason, common sense and even self interest. The system is very much alike to the Palestinian situation; maintaining a permanent underclass of angry (and thus malleable and suggestible) people. The global left must never actually help them become reasonably self-sufficient, and thus lose them as members, but instead pretend to “support” them in their “struggle” while keeping them frustrated, angry and confused.

      And, of course, it works. I expect most of us will be under some version of that kind of control in the end, even though we may understand somewhat how it all works and how it’s done.

      The evidence (or more likely; proof) that it’s working on you is that you’re telling yourself that it couldn’t happen to you, because you have eyes to see and ears to hear. Once you’re convinced of THAT, then it’s pretty much a done deal– You’re a dead man walkin’. Mote, meet beam.

      I speak of course to myself in this regard as well, because I know I’ve been susceptible all my life to the various and evolving forms of agitation.
