Quote of the day—Anonymous

The coming violence isn’t going to look like the rev war or any conventional war. It won’t be bunker hill.

IMO it’s going to look like death squads at night killing the players.

  1. Ambushes when going to work or home.
    Bombing of homes and cars.
    Snipers at rallies and gatherings.

    Small cell, highly directed targeting.

IRA versus Provo kind of warfare.

  2. Many parallels to South Africa here. Lots of assassinations and acceptance of mob action. One notable difference is that one of the major factions here has a couple decades of collecting data on most of the population and they have the ability to mine it for any “red flags” they want. It’s pretty plausible to think that algorithms could scan your email for references to ‘boogaloo’ likely keywords and emails from gunbroker and armslist then assign you a risk score. Combine that with red flag laws or doxing and social media and the rest of the story writes itself.

    Stay safe guys!

    • So let’s feed the algorithms. At one time I used to attach a postscript to my e-mails. It was simply a block of 1,000 random characters bit it looked like encrypted MIME data. I finally quit when a friend who worked for one of those agencies that don’t exist called and asked me to stop. Apparently I was driving somebody buggy attempting to decode them. A few thousand doing this could seriously choke any attempt at surveillance.

        • Exactly. It throws sand in the gears, but it also puts you on the radar.
Many years ago I had a chat about using VPN in China and was told that if used enough, it could be considered “proof” of guilt.

          • I wonder if it would be hipster enough to ironically use a VPN that uses 3ROT13 encryption.

Maybe it’d be more sly to use 4-rotor Enigma to encrypt randomly selected meme image files, but steganographically embed SHA-3 encrypted true messages in the image files.

Now I have an urge to write an encryption library that requires a cron job to pull down random images from I Can Haz Cheezburger.

  3. They don’t have enough personal to go door to door. And never will have. If your truly ready to fight. they’ve already lost.
If you just waited in your house. But fought back when they arrive. They lose.
But no one wins open source warfare. Nobody.
They shut down my computer. I shoot their transformer? On and on. No one can win. You can only make people pine for the good old days.
There will be wailing, and nashing of teeth. And what survives will be hard as nails.

  4. Death Squads don’t work with armed victims. Whomever is doing the ‘cleansing’ needs to have the power that comes by having your target helpless.

You can kill American gun owners.
What you can’t do is achieve it without leveling entire city blocks.

Simple. I vote for retaining my right to defend myself above all else.
You allow a situation to reach the point where people just ‘disappear’ and you have already lost.

There are millions of gun owners that won’t just disappear. They will be just as dead as those who disappear. But, they won’t be found in mass graves.

  5. Do not go gentle into that good night,
    Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright
Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight
Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay,
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height,
Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray.
Do not go gentle into that good night.
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

  6. The small unit skirmishes will rapidly give way to action to destroy logistical infrastructure. Pipelines and railroads go away first, but when Government has to guard every freeway undercrossing to guard against truck bombs, the dot gov has lost.

The big Liberal city-enclaves quickly become starvation Gulags with no ground logistics and no power. Air logistics can’t feed a big city, the Berlin Airlift notwithstanding.

The USA devolves into 6 to 10 autonomous regions, which try to become Nations, but the entry of outside military will only exacerbate the war.

The former USA will take five generations to recover, if it does.

THIS ALL STARTS BEFORE ELECTION DAY. WHATEVER YOU DO NOW, BY NEXT WINTER, YOUR JOB IS WAR!

    • Sobering, but I do not disagree. I’m thinking that it’s time to get out and prepare.

  7. While nobody can say for sure what the coming ‘festivities’ will look like it’s a pretty safe bet they will be ugly. Thing Yugoslavian civil war/break up of the 90’s ugly….and maybe worse than that.
