Quote of the day—Joy Behar

They should not tell everything they’re going to do. If you’re going to take people’s guns away, wait until you get elected — then take the guns away. Don’t tell them ahead of time.

Joy Behar: Don’t tell Americans before you take their guns
[Behar was discussing failed 2020 presidential hopeful Beto O’Rourke.

Good advice. A little too late. But good advice.

But then, it appears that these days if a candidate has a ‘D’ after them name gun confiscation is their game plan so one should just automatically assume the worst regardless of how public they make their gun confiscation plans.—Joe]

  1. No doubt many politicians would take her advice. That is, if weren’t already Standard Operating Procedure. Behar is several thousand years behind, but she figured it out.

In the business world (and ignoring the second amendment altogether for a moment), what she’s suggesting would be actionable, as either false advertising or outright criminal fraud. “Sell them something they don’t want, by not telling them what they’re really going to get.”

This is how serial killer, Ted Bundy lured women into his van. He misrepresented himself, and withheld critical information, until he had had his victims thoroughly under his power. Behar is recommending the exact same tactic.

(Interestingly, this is common in most dating too. It has been said that when a man and a woman are “falling” in “love”, it is like two paupers pretending to be rich [in love], each defrauding the other in the hope of getting something from the other which they themselves do not have to offer. When they discover the truth about one another, they both feel betrayed and rightly so)

I keep saying that the political left has a natural affinity with, and respect for, common criminals, gangsters and mass murdering tyrants. They are de facto allies.

How is it that politicians are allowed to get away with it? Given the fact that government actions tend to have greater, farther reaching consequences than business fraud, one would think that politicians should be held to far higher standards than corporations. Why are they held to such amazingly low standards, such that they can mislead, deceive, lie, violate the Oath of Office, and openly conspire in plotting fraud, and not end up in prison or on the gallows by the baker’s dozen?

Clearly then, the system is rigged. The standard, or evidence, of a healthy system would be that any corrupt politicians would predictably and consistently end up in prison, or on the gallows. Given that our system is clearly corrupt, almost beyond the imagination (unless one looks to the worst examples in history), what, if anything, is the fix? Who is responsible for fixing it? Can we be expected to work within the corrupt system to fix the corrupt system? Can corruption be fixed with corruption?

What’s more likely (if either history or prophesy is any indication) is that the more innocent will end up in prison or on the gallows, for the “crime” of refusing to acknowledge the “authority” of the criminals in power.

Or, as the Bible says, is iniquity going to be fulfilled? And if so, then where, or in what mindset, or in what alliance, do we want to be when that “fulfillment” is complete?

  2. If you like your (fill in the blank) you can keep your ( fill in the blank).
Read my lips, no new (fill in the blank).

First rule of politics, get elected. There is no second rule.

  3. I disagree with you saying someone with a (D) after there name that gun confiscation is their game plan. That’s just part of the public position of there game plan. The real game plan of people with a D after there name is the complete elimination of private gun ownership, full confiscation and the complete extermination of all 100,000,000+ gun owners and their families.

    • I think you have overestimated the number of gunowners in the U.S. by about a factor of 1000. Would you like me to remove a few zeros for you?

      • Naaah. Their plan is so evil that they’ll work out a way to kill us over and over, just to make the point.

Besides, the typical government reporting systems incent the extermination squads to round up. Find one hand, and foot, one head, hindquarters of a dog and two halves of a torso after the raid? That’s six exterminated gun owners going down on the paperwork.

      • 100,000,000+. I mistyped. But I’m not seeing anyone saying I’m wrong in what there goal is.

        • I fixed it for you.

Correct. You aren’t seeing any disagreement.

I’m pretty sure you are overstating the universality of that view point but I don’t have any hard evidence to dispute your claim.

          • It doesn’t matter if everyone desires complete confiscation, there are enough who will go in lockstep with the major characters it will have the same effect. At least until the old revolutionaries find themselves in the gulags with the dissidents. but then it will be too late.

  4. Hey Joy, Who would be surprised? It’s the holy grail of communists everywhere. You’re no different.
Anyone that groks history in the slightest knows that about people like you. You’re so brainwashed, your moves are as predictable as a hungry rat and a piece of cheese in a closed box.
No, the big surprise is for the rats.
Remember, gun owners are good law abiding citizens. Right up until they’re not.

    • Remember, gun owners are good law abiding citizens. Right up until they’re not.

Looks like a corollary of Rule 3: Be nice. Right up until it’s time to not be nice.
      3 simple rules

      • And once it’s time to be not nice, and time to fight, you fight like you’re the third monkey on the ramp to Noah’s Ark, and it’s starting to rain.
