Quote of the day—Sheila Jackson Lee

I’ve held an AR-15 in my hand, I wish I had it. It is as heavy as 10 boxes that you might be moving and the bullet that is utilized, a .50 caliber, these kinds of bullets, need to be licensed and do not need to be on the street.

Lying is what they do. It’s a critical portion of their culture.—Joe]

  1. She’s as clueless as a stump. Someone probably DID hand her a Barrett .50 at one time, but all guns are so foreign to her that she sees every black rifle as an AR-15. We get so obsessed with precision in the description that we sometimes lose the fact that they don’t care whether they are discussing a Wilson Combat or a DPMS or an FN-FAL, or an M1A or M14. They are all scary and must be banned.

  2. Not sure how much a “Moving Box” weighs in a real system of weights and measures. Is it full of books or pillows? Yeah, anyone who has actually held an AR-15 type rifle knows this is pure B.S. but this absurd comment isn’t aimed at us, it’s aimed at the people who have never gotten closer to an AR than an image on TV. It’s all part of the meme that “Evil Black Rifles” are too powerful for ordinary people.

  3. A “box that you might be moving” could be any size or weight, so although it’s bizarre or leading, that’s not a false statement. And there are indeed fifty caliber ARs;

    The Beowulf cartridge was developed specifically for the AR platform. Some of you reading this have probably held a fifty cal AR, or may own one yourselves. Additionally, I’ve fired an AR fitted with a 50 BMG bolt action upper myself (the actual Ma Duce round), so don’t get your panties in a bind over the silly whore pretending to be “ignorant”. She may or may not be as dumb as a rock, but she got you to dance!

    The dumb whore was being perfectly accurate and honest, up until the “need to be licensed and need to be off the street” bit which everyone so far has ignored. Therefore you’ll need to come up with a principled argument and not rely on attacking her apparent ignorance or her apparent state of Mesmerization.

    THEY Mesmerize US with their apparent awesome ignorance, and get us to focus on THAT rather than the fact that they’re proposing an end to the Bill of Rights and an end to the United States as founded. These “idiots”, I assert, are quite clever, knowing precisely how to push our buttons and manipulate their constituents. And once again I must point out that it works EVERY TIME IT’S TRIED. Don’t knock such a successful tactic unless you have an even better one.

  4. Nobody among the “useful idiots” in the matter of how dangerous AR-15’s are could pick the .556 round out of a lineup, which is why I’d like to have a bullet board to show my Leftist brothers and their Maoist wives. They’d either finger the .30-06 Springfield or the .7.62 Russian. .

  5. I like to say that a 5.56 rifle such as an AR-15 is a light weight rather low powered rifle, not powerful enough to be used for deer hunting and not legal for that purpose in many states. The generally-pushed notion that an AR-15 is a super duper military grade high powered rifle is just total BS and deserves to be exposed as such at every opportunity.
    In particular, I think it is important to make it clear that hunting rifles are more powerful, since that should give a clue to hunters that their rifles are not safe from the enemy. (As Matthew Bracken pointed out, they will simply relabel them as “sniper rifles” and add a ban on anything with a scope on it.)
