Quote of the day—Annie Oakley

I would like to see every woman know how to handle guns as naturally as they know how to handle babies.

I should have posted this on Oakley’s birthday, last Tuesday, August 13th. Which also happens to be my dad’s birthday. But, I wasn’t reading all my email and missed this one until last night.—Joe]

  1. Ah, but now the leftists’ interpretation of women’s “empowerment” is that the government, via coercive redistribution, provides for their sustenance, care and protection.

  2. One of our family stories was that when my Mom and Dad were seeing each other her family took Dad out for an afternoon of plinking. Much to my combat veteran father’s chagrin, Mom turned out to be a better shot.

    • My mom and dad went on a date out in the desert near Riverside California to do some shooting. There weren’t any stories about which was the better shot. I never saw my mom ever fire a gun. And only rarely would dad shoot.
