This is what they think of you and the specific enumerated right to keep and bear arms:
If you are a NRA member you are most likely fat, creepy, and murder innocent people with no remorse.
It’s projection alright, combined with Nazi-style propaganda, promoting fear, loathing and hatred against a whole group of people (and by extension the rights of all people).
Anyone who thinks that might be an exaggeration; go ahead and dig up some of the old political cartoons out of Germany in the 1930s and ’40s, aimed at Jews, and you’ll see for yourself the blatant consistency of both theme and technique.
There’s a Soviet component in there too. If you disagree with what they refer to as “sane” gun laws, it can only be because you are insane. Presumably then, you belong in an asylum.
One can easily make the case anti-gun forces want gun owners to be thought of as subhuman and ultimately arrive at a “final solution to the gun question”. It is being implemented incrementally was in case with the “Jewish Question”:
Most historians agree there is no ‘big bang’ theory for the origins of the Final Solution, predicated on a single decision made at a single moment in time. It is generally accepted the decision-making process was prolonged and incremental.
This makes it extremely difficult to make certain decisions. When do you say they have gone too far and it is time to ignore the immoral and unconstitutional laws instead of giving them just a little bit more such that you don’t run the risk of being caught in noncompliance and risk the well being of your family, your finances, your freedom, and your life?
Gun sanctuary cities, counties, and to some extent even states exist now which may provide some protection. But how long will they last? Support them if you can. If you plan to retreat there make sure there is a place there for you and you are welcome.
We live in “interesting” times.
If they slapped on a “DNC” or “I’m with Hildabeast” hat or a Bernie Bro beanie, it would have been quite accurate.
Please Fake News Media, name one mass shooter who was an NRA member. All of them have been either muslim terrorists, leftist/progressive scum, or have psychotic issues with inconsistent political views (and are not conservative or pro-Trump in any degree).
You want less deaths involving firearms? Work more on suicide prevention. Take black youths in drug gangs and prosecute them fully and lock them up for long sentences and you will see a huge drop in crime and murders. End the Gun Free Zone Target Rich Environments by ALLOWING teachers, staff, and parents to be CCW carriers at the school.
Sorry Branden, Facts/logic don’t work brainwashed people. The end game is destruction. Joe’s presentation of their cartoons is merely showing how far down the road we are.
The cartoonist makes a leftist faux pas with this one though;
A proper leftist/Eugenicist totalitarian does not show a woman and children together with the words “Right to Life”. Possibly the only way to get away with it is to show the NRA as psychotic murderers at the same time. Progressive Marxist/Eugenicists start with the notion that you have no rights of your own, (just as you have no property or wealth of your own) and thus you should be disarmed because there is no right to protect life. Your life is collectively owned and therefore it may be disposed of by the collective for the benefit of the collective.
Society, they believe, must be lovingly tended and nurtured, like a garden, and as such there must be periodic weeding of that garden. How can that happen efficiently if the “weeds” are capable of defending themselves? It cannot, and so the “weeds” must be disarmed!
It’s probably even wrong now to depict a woman with children at all, for that would be to pigeon-hole women into a stereotypical gender role.
The fat white man with a gun is also a bigoted depiction. Why not a slender black woman with a gun and an NRA hat? If you’re going to be an authoritarian/totalitarian, anti-American, pro-genocide cartoonist, couldn’t you at least follow your own rules and be an equal opportunity promoter of genocide?
It’s an interesting contradiction though; asserting a right to life while defaming and slandering the NRA which works to protect the right to defend life. The cartoon asserts a primary American Principle while working to destroy American Principles.
It is a long-standing and proud Tradition though; the Roman church has, since the time of Constantine, asserted Christianity while attempting to eradicate Christianity. It’s quite brilliant, in fact. With a role model like that, every authoritarian wannabe is in well-established and popular company!
“When do you say they have gone too far and it is time to ignore the immoral and unconstitutional laws instead of giving them just a little bit more such that you don’t run the risk of being caught in noncompliance and risk the well being of your family, your finances, your freedom, and your life?”
There is no single answer, I think, that everyone could agree on. It’s perhaps also not a topic many would feel comfortable debating openly online.
An approach, would be for each individual to decide for themselves where that line is and what they would – or would not – do when that line is reached. Further, one could game out a whole series of “if this / then that” scenarios ranging from magazine bans to … Well, we have an illustration of an end state from WWII but, of course, have no guaranteed way to know if and when such a final atrocity is being carried out. That’s one of the things that makes this such a hard topic to think about.
