One of a George Washington’s first acts after the Revolution was to use government as a weapon of violence against the Whiskey Rebellion, just so the wealthy supporters of the war could be paid back sooner. The first Republican president not only let the Confederates keep their political party, he used the people’s tax money for Reconstruction. The Democratic Party’s terrorist arm, the KKK, was allowed to operate freely for generations.
It’s all been downhill since. Now we have the occupy movement, antifa, BLM, et al.
“Conservatism” is a term of obfuscation anyway. Ask a hundred people what it means you’ll probably get a hundred different answers, all subject to revision. We won’t say “Protestant” or “fundamental Christian” because we’re afraid of losing the supposed “Big Tent” by offending people.
It see it as the Dialectic Method in action, for the purpose of achieving a fully coercive society; the Democrats can’t get enough coercion, and the Republicans are always willing to allow juuust a little bit more so as not to be seen as “extremists”.
In the end, the only difference between the two parties that will have mattered is that the Democrats wanted to boil the proverbial “frog in the pot” too quickly, and the Republicans stepped in to help them do it right by turning down the heat. Their only real “disagreements” are over the heat setting.
When we vote Republican, we’re saying, “Yes please! We want more of this.” So it’s a distraction, as the Dialectic Method is intended to be, and we’re too caught up in it to see any alternative.
In fact you’ll never understand any of this in context until you understand the long history of the Protestant Reformation verses Rome. If fact that contest was already brewing in the time of the Apostles, being as they warned us about it. This land we now call the U.S. was settled, and this country eventually born, directly out of that conflict. But Rome has had its wicked minions here from the start as well, which is why we have the State of “Mary Land”, for example.
So good luck with that studying. You’ve been culturally inoculated against even looking at it, so it will be very difficult. Your immune system will have kicked already, and every step of the way it’ll try to prevent you from going farther. Just keep in mind that our history has been written and disseminated by the Progressives since the beginning of the 20th Century, so you’ll have to find the earlier sources, or those that have been preserved in those obscure institutions no one is talking about.
We can NOT have the truth, you see. It’s foot must not be allowed in the door, for it would uplift one side of the conflict, while completely and utterly invalidating the other. That would be “unfair”. Truth is “inequality” in that it doesn’t give the other side “a chance”. Truth is “repressive” to some people’s ideas and gives “privilege” and “special treatment” to others.
We can’t have any of that because it would ruin the whole gig. We must keep the debates going, keep defining the introduction of lies as “balance”, and ideological Trojan Horses as “open-mindedness” until no one has any confidence left.
This is why “conservatives” are invertebrates, forever unable to stand effectively against the tide of coercivism; they’ve been born and bred, inculcated, trained, nurtured and massaged for the purpose of running interference for the coercives, serving as a counterfeit of principled opposition.
Every conservative has an invisible nose ring, and every nose ring has a leash on it, and every leash is held by a radical Marxist/leftist/Romish activist, muttering in his ear like a Grima Wormtongue. Sometimes you can almost see the rings and leashes and Wormtungues with your eyes, but as with a black hole we don’t need to see it to know that it’s there. The tremendous gravitational force surrounding it leaves no doubt.
The plain truth simplification of this quote is it’s either us or them (islam and/or leftism). Either we eradicate them permanently or eventually they WILL attain the level of power to exterminate us….the only difference being THEY WON’T HESITATE.
