Quote of the day—George Monbiot

We’ve got to go straight to the heart of capitalism and overthrow it.

[Some of the most repressive nations ever, the Soviet Union and Communist China, were not able to completely exterminate capitalism no matter how many people they murdered. Free markets always find a way.

Yet, this loon wants to try yet again.

Just keep saying no until you run out of ammo.—Joe]

  1. And when you’re out of ammo, keep saying “No” until you run out of swords, knives, flammables, blunt objects, ingenuity, creativeness, guile, cunning, pencils, shoelaces, and finally your own blood supply. They should find your body with a “No” still on your face.

In the pursuit of liberty, the one thing required is that you run out of tenacity about ten minutes after you run out of heartbeats.

  2. And he is not alone.

The far left Extinction Revolution is demanding: that our governments must create and be led by the decisions of a Citizens’ Assembly on climate and ecological justice. [Note the word justice]

“Extinction Rebellion is an international apolitical network using non-violent direct action [for now] to persuade governments to act on the Climate and Ecological Emergency.”

Solutions include “The Climate Mobilization, Beyond Zero Emissions, Rapid Transition Alliance, Green New Deal Group, One Million Climate Jobs and The Breakthrough Institute, The Sortition Foundation.”

    • I wonder if “extinction rebellion” is a name chosen to describe the goal of the rebellion. A plausible reply would be “ok, we’ll be happy to oblige you”.

    • Interesting they said “non-violent direct action” when the only direct action that I have ever seen consists of riots. I guess the “[for now]” is their escape clause to use violence later.

We are not European weenies or Australian/New Zealander wimps. We have a heritage of rebellion (see 1776) and are armed to the teeth. We will not allow violent brown shirt thugs to coerce us.

      • Last I looked, “riot” is an example of “violence”. “Non-violent riot” is a contradiction in terms.

  3. There are those who buy the lies, of course, and live by them, clinging to them as though they were the very essence of life itself and of all that is holy, but ultimately this is not and has never been about “social or economic justice”, the environment, the “rights” of the various victims’ revenge alliances, or any of that hogwash. Ultimately it’s a war against the truth and against the human race of which satan is extremely jealous. It is the criminal class, led by the first and ultimate criminal, the deceiver (their “god”), against the intolerable and crushing innocence of Christ (their “devil”) and the people under His banner. Corporation against corporation, alliance against alliance, this is a war for your heart and soul.

Everything else is clever distraction and brilliant obfuscation. Those, dumb, blank stares on the faces of leftists when you’re telling them the truth, that apparent stupidity we see in them all the time? That’s just them enduring you, after which they’ll ignore said truth and continue on with the lies. They’re often well aware of the truth. They have to be (know thy enemy). Far from being stupidity, it’s that they hate the truth and oppose it. Don’t knock it; it works. It’s a proven system.

  4. “Dancing on the crumbling precipice
The rocks are coming loose just at the edge
Are we laughing? Are we crying?
Are we drowning? Are we dead?
Or is it all a dream?

The bombs are getting closer every day
“That can never happen here” we used to say
Have these wars come to our doorstep?
    Has this moment finally come?
Or is it all a dream?”
