Quote of the day—Rep. Eric Swalwell‏ @RepSwalwell

The government has nukes. Too many of them. But they’re legit. I’m sure if we talked we could find common ground to protect our families and communities.

Rep. Eric Swalwell‏ @RepSwalwell
U.S. Representative to Congress (D)
Tweeted on November 16, 2018
[This was in response to this tweet by Joe Biggs:

So basically @RepSwalwell wants a war. Because that’s what you would get. You’re outta your fucking mind if you think I’ll give up my rights and give the gov all the power.

And this was in response to Rep. Swalwell writing an editorial containing:

We should ban possession of military-style semiautomatic assault weapons, we should buy back such weapons from all who choose to abide by the law, and we should criminally prosecute any who choose to defy it by keeping their weapons. The ban would not apply to law enforcement agencies or shooting clubs.

I like Scott Adams’ response to Rep. Swalwell:

Remind me which side the military would be on in this imaginary war?

Yup. Think carefully before you start a war in your own territory.—Joe]

  1. During the Cuban missile crisis a Soviet Executive Officer on a submarine armed with nuclear torpedoes defied his Captain and refused to allow a nuclear armed torpedo to be launched at a U. S. ship. If a Russian officer wouldn’t use nukes against a U. S. ship at sea, what American officers will Nuke their own soil.

  2. Swalwell is a fanatic. When you start talking about using nuclear weapons on those who disagree with you, you meet my definition of a deranged fanatic. Or, more appropriate for this discussion, a mad dog.

What do you do with mad dog’s?

    Jeff B.

  3. Swalwell has openly declared himself to be an enemy of the letter and spirit of the constitution of the United States.

How long can we last while we allow enemies to populate our government offices?

“I’m sure if we talked we could find common ground to protect our families and communities.”. Says the looter and the rapist of American ideals.

No; there is no “common ground” with those who would institute coercion as a replacement for the constitution and the laws of liberty. Their single-minded purpose is destroy you and everything you stand for. You either defang them and keep them totally out of power, or banish them, or you’ll eventually surrender to them. Merely tolerating them in your midst is to invite disaster.

We’ve tolerated the openly declared enemies of the United States for generations now. We’ve let the fox into the henhouse and he runs the place now. We paid to build their power infrastructure, they’ve “educated” our children, we pay their salaries and their lawyers, and the disaster they inevitably bring is on our doorsteps.

They’ve built up their power in the light of day and under our very noses, and we paid the bills for it. If we were going to ever stop it, we would have done so long ago. Instead we let the scorpion and the rapist take up residence in our own homes. Why start complaining now? Surely we asked for it, didn’t we?

  4. “Yup. Think carefully before you start a war in your own territory.—Joe]”
If he could think, he wouldn’t be a dimocrat.

  5. Just keep in mind, he is just one of many of the Liberty Grabber Left who have made this demand over 70 Times in the past few years:

  6. Swalwell is like lots of other pea-brained proggies in that they have some mental block/defect that makes them unable to believe that their fantasies could have real consequences that affect them personally.

If things ever do go ‘south’, what we will probably see is everyone is welcome to the party under 4GW Rules Of Engagement. I leave it to your consideration just how far that could go, taking the lessons of 20th century history into account.

It’s probably going to get more sporty than it is now even before that point. The lid of that Pandora’s box was taken off last year.

    • Such a war might even be less horrific and costly if the initial targets are the enemies of the Constitution, our freedoms, and our rights.

Cut the head off the snake.

  7. Do not count on the police or the military to side with freedom lovers. You will find that their loyalty will be to their organizations and bosses. You havent heard a word from the cops who have been told to stand down and allow antifa to take over the streets. Careerists can rationalize a lot to avoid jeopardizing their careers.
