  1. I sent a note to SAF/CCRKBA earlier in the week.

SECTION 24 of the Washington State Constitution reads: RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS. The right of the individual citizen to bear arms in defense of himself, or the state, shall not be impaired, but nothing in this section shall be construed as authorizing individuals or corporations to organize, maintain or employ an armed body of men.

All these billionaires are surrounded 24/7 by an armed body of men, which they have organized, maintained, and employed. Isn’t it about time that we ban private armies and let them take their chances with us plebians? After all, if they want to ban or restrict our right to bear arms, it seems only fair for us to respond by banning their ability to bear armed men?

What would such an initiative look like? We can certainly point to enough examples in the news of bodyguards and security officers who’ve shot people – they are a menace and need to be stopped!

I’m thinking about something like “People’s Right to Feel Safe Act of 2019” – Wherein it is unfair for rich people to spend the money to put scary armed people out in public to supposedly protect *their* families and children, while they want to ban my right to do so myself. I don’t feel safe with all these armed mercenaries out carrying guns on school grounds, etc. Many of them are retired police (or not even smart enough to become a policeman) or even worse, ex-military (and we all know how bloodthirsty and deranged they can be!). Do you feel safe knowing that your children may have a bunch of armed rent-a-cops mingling with them at concerts, out shopping, or perhaps even at school?

Ban mercenary armies hired by the rich! For the children!
