Quote of the day—LeAnne L‏ @sindereyla

A measuring device. And not a measuring device for one’s hands. Kinda like a huge pickup truck, lifted, with humongous tires. Ask any woman what that means.

  1. I don’t know about the lift kit, but that big 4 x 4 pickup with the humongous tires, the winch, and the light bar up top, is just what you’ll be hoping for when you’re in the ditch on a lonely road in the dark during a blizzard, or when you need help moving something too large to fit in your hipster town-car. To use that rig as an example of something pathological is to reveal jealousy and envy.

Any indicator or symbol of strength, or of ability, or productivity, or of (Heaven forbid) hard work, is often the subject of ridicule. If you haven’t learned to expect it, you probably haven’t accomplished much.

    • There’s a great video clip of a lifted pickup pulling a government truck out of deep water, in the aftermath of hurricane Harvey.
